  1. im gona try find somewhere to stay asap. but i did know her and get on with her. and i thought stoke would only stay here once in a while.not every night for 8 months solid. even when he plays in edinburgh and gets home at 4am he comes here. yet i still pay half the phone bill and tv licence. when there is three of us sharing. if it was any other bills id have kicked up a fuss ages ago
  2. its her parents flat though. she told me her mate was staying in feb. but i dont see the problem. they would be staying in my room. we wont even be here half the time. but she said the flat aint got room for 6 people. and her parents wouldnt like it. but last time they stayed we had 5 folk and i didnt think it was over crowded. she said it was cause she couldnt use the living room. but when her mate is here im gona be stuck in my room even more so cause he is staying for a whole week. and i said it would only be 5 people cause he boyfriend could go stay at his own flat (which im sure his parents would not like him not staying at seeing hwo they bought him it) and she went mental at me suggesting she kicks him out for a week just so my two best friends can stay going on about how none of her friends ever come to see her and this is a one off and telling me to rearrange it. but they cant come any other week :-( but they cant afford to stay in a BB or hotel ARRRGGGG my dad says theres nothing i can do cause its her flat
  3. i hate my flat mate. she wont let my two bestfriends come and stay cause her friend is gona be here that week too. but we'd planned lots of fun stuff to do and its the only time they can come and visit for a while. and ive had to put up with her boyfriend staying everynight for 8 months without her checking with me. her parents own the flat but im the only one out of the three of us paying rent, any suggestions how im supposed to get round this?
  4. to clear up for people this is the email i recieved from david lessels who is important in aberdeen uni law - Dear Catherine A graduate has to pay tuition fees of (now) £8500 for each year of study for the degree regardless of whether she elects to do the accelerated 2-year LLB or the traditional 3 or 4 year Ordinary or Honours degree. The 4-year LLB Honours would therefore cost a graduate 4x £8500 = £34000 while the accelerated 2-year degree costs £17000. Regards David Lessels but its only for law that it costs that much. if i was to study anything else its not soo bad. im not sure if its just aberdeen thats charges so much. im waiting to find out
  5. i may have mislead people. im not complaining about having to pay the fee's. i knew id have to and would be quite happy to. but its the fact the fee's are £8,500. i could afford to pay them if they were £1,700 a year. but not £8,500 a year. thats just ridiculas
  6. woah i was just trying to find out the exact same thing!!!
  7. why does money have to stop you doing what you want in life? im studying the music industry. and have decided i want to do law to be a lawyer in the music industry. but if i finish my current degree it will cost me 8,500 a year to study law at aberdeen!!!! how crap is that.
  8. i dont get it. wheres larne? whereever it is. theres still never any snow
  9. i was one of only about 7 people in the club i was in with a hat. i only wore it for the purpose of this photo. my union was covered in irish stuff. but we actually have a lot of irish students. and our campus president and her assisstants are all irish.
  10. i celebrated when it hit midnight. not feeling great now. and ive got work tomorrow. it will be one of the busiest days ever. so im thinking im sticking to water tonight
  11. thanks everyone. you've all be helpful :-) shame our comedian is being a twat. everythign is slowly falling apart. and i think ive missed the deadlines for the monthly listings. blerg
  12. i need some help. im in a group for uni putting on a gig. but none of us are from glasgow. so i was wondering what are the places where we can sell tickets or put up posters. i suppose im looking for glasgow's version of one up. any advise would help and save me hours of researching it. ive got too much other stuff on right now.
  13. i love the calibrated excuse. cause if you know what they have to do at the start of each day - its soo long and if i was a police officer id never be assed to do it and i also love their stupidty of the hat thing. there used to be an officer dude quite high up that was obssessed with people wearing their ahts and the only time they could take it off was to drive. and another thing. if you get a fine through the psot - ignore it :-) chances are nothing will happen
  14. I WANT SNOW ive got given the day off work cause of snow. and there isnt any in ayr. how gay. i work in a new debenhams store that opens tomorrow. but half the staff are from outside of ayr and my boss is from paisley. and she called to say she cant get in cause of the snow so to just take the day off. and everyone online is showing my photos of snow and going out to play. but ayr sucks. even like troon and irvine have lots of snow. and thats only 10 miles away. GRRRRR
  15. oh i forgot to say what was said. it wasnt a large mention. they were just talking about promoting on local sites and they said aberdeen had a very very good local message board called aberdeen-music.
  16. 1. my parents thought i may be dyslex but then just figured i was thick cause i was to smart at other things. i dont think my spelling is down to anything like that though. 2.her name was sally, i think her last name was grant but then my mind wondered thinking "isnt sally grant someone famous". she wasnt anyone big. (last year was all the important talks like a marketing manager from EMI) she works for everymatic who do things with the hazey janes. thats all i pikced up on. she just has a lot of experience with press releases and used to be a journalist. 3. just because i wrote your instead of you're doesnt mean id never get a degree. fair enough if i was studying english... but im studying commercial music where i do a lot of practicle modules. i do know the difference between your and you're. but i just don't always think about it when typing and writing things on a day to day basis.
  17. meh. spelling and grammar aint my strong point. and its not just computers. ive always been a terrible speller. i hand in essays ive proof read 4 times. and i see words that i think are right and i get a crap grade due to spelling. :-)
  18. well not quite. but aberdeen-music got a mention in one of my uni classes today. it was for events production and we were getting a guest lecture from a PR person about dealing with the media and promoting our gigs.
  19. i wanted to be a policewomen and work in the same office as my dad. then i decided i didnt like the shifts cause id want to be with my husband and kids. so for the majority of me growing up there was nothing i wanted to be. even in 4th. until i decided i wanted to be a professional groupie. and just marry someone rich. so went in search of something to get me to met famous bands. and thats why im half way through having a degree in the music industry. :-) but i still dont know what i want to "be" when im older.... which is now really i need help
