I wore glasses for 8 years and promised myself that as soon as I needed to wear my glasses all the time, I'd get contacts. So in January I got them, and it took me nearly 5 weeks to master them, but now I pretty much have and they're worth it. You can't even feel that they're in and it feels brilliant to be able to see perfectly without having to wear glasses.As someone else said, I was forever breaking glasses and needing new pairs, man up until I was 18 the NHS must have hated me!Contacts don't suit everyone because some people just don't like putting things in their eyes but if you perservere I reckon anyone could wear them. Guest tv tanned Posted March 16, 2005 Report Share Posted March 16, 2005 I first got glasses after I left secondary school, I got foun out when I couldn't read a sign from the back of a room and my dad decided I needed my eyes tested.So, now I wear specs and managed to destroy two perfectly good, expensive pairs within a week of each other due to an accident and then my drunkenness.I am now wearing an old pair, as I cannot afford to get a new set as yet.
