Stroopy121
So I really dig performances like this - just one musician playing a whole piece of music live. Especially on instruments that aren't typically used in this application, like piano or guitar. Sometimes these performances are all flashy technique and no real musicality or entertainment value, but some (like the video below) are just amazing, full of interesting techniques as well as being great pieces to listen to. Anyone else into such tomfoolery? xx
Woodsinho
This has been posted here before but it's worth revisiting - the whole of Mastodon's Leviathan album played on piano in one take:

ca_gere
Those bass guitar ones are cool and all but really, it's hard to stay enthusiastic about the one-dimension for a whole 5, 6, 7 minutes or however long. That one man band dude is awesome.

That's how I feel about a lot of this kind of stuff, I started this thread in the hopes of finding some more that are good as fuck. xx

Soda Jerk
It doesn't fall into the non-guitar/piano category, but I dig Don Ross. There's a lot of this kind of wankery out there, but this is just pure joyous melodies. I love how he gets the percussion, rhythm and lead melody sounds from one guitar track.
Soda Jerk
Jon Gomm is good at that kind of stuff too. I like how he uses the tuning pegs for bending notes.
ca_gere
This counts right? I used to love this guy. He played tunnels and/or drummonds years ago.

Adam Easy Wishes
You need to use the url from your browser rather than the url you get when you right click on the video and select 'get url'. Basically a youtube.com url rather than youtu.be url.

Woodsinho
The drummer from Three Trapped Tigers is one of my favourites and he's doing a solo thing which is good as heck and reminded me that this thread exists.
