Paul G
Nice one! I've wanted to see the cosmic dead for ages, managed to miss them last week at a festival, so this is good news
Murrr
I'm up for this. One of the drivers at work (unsure if he posts/lurks on here) gave me a Cosmic Dead CD a few months ago and it blew my wig off. Well done on setting this up. I'll definitely try to make this one. PS: I don't have a wig.

Murrr
This is a great line-up. I've never seen Seas, Starry or HNIC but have wanted to for ages, and getting The Cosmic Dead to Aberdeen is just wonderful. I'm going to have all the fun.
girl anachronism
Ooft. That was a great night. The Cosmic Dead were incredible, awesome energy. His Name Is Codeine are just such a brilliant band. Fantastic set last night. Listening to their album "The Only Truth is Music" as I type. If you enjoyed their set, please pick up a copy, you won't be disappointed! 'til next time!
TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
A clip of the Cosmic Dead from Cellar 35 last night. It was pretty special. I think that I can be seen in the background, just about having a heart attack. Thanks to Peet Simpson for posting this on the Laika Come Home Facebook page.
Murrr
Really good night. I missed most of Seas, Starry unfortunately, but what I heard sounded very tight. I caught one and a half songs, maybe, but I'm sure there'll be plenty of other opportunities. His Name is Codeine are such a good band. Aside from having excellent songs, they sound great live, are incredibly cohesive and deserve to be absolutely massive. Hugely impressive. I'd have nabbed a CD if I'd had enough money on me, but I'll be getting one ordered as soon as I can. They're so proficient, they sound like they've been playing together for decades and those big, sweeping walls of sound could level buildings. You guys deserve mega-points for getting The Cosmic Dead up here and all. They were pretty much everything I hope they'd be. Such a good job of whipping the whole room into a swaying, psyched-out trance. Top stuff. Probably the best gig I've been to in Aberdeen since Taint/Manatees. Great job.
girl anachronism
Thanks for coming! Yeah, I still can't believe our luck that everything went down like that in Cellar last night! Couldn't have asked for any better outcome, just wish we'd been awake enough to keep partying afterwards!

Jaaakkkeee
This was brilliant. First time seeing Seas, Starry and I was blown away, as were the guitar strings apparently.
girl anachronism
Glad folk enjoyed it! The Cosmic Dead had a great time and are very eager to come back, so hopefully that can happen sometime soon. Haha, cheers, I was having a bit of a mare, lost strings during the [ ] cover and I've never broken strings live, seems it was too punx for my setup! Muddled through though!
Jaaakkkeee
I really enjoyed the sets. Shame about Cosmic Dead starting so late 'cause I've heard some crazy stories. But they were great, and their bassist is amazing. Really enjoyed HNIC too, although, I don't think the synth was turned up enough, I couldn't see what she added. girl anachronism
Yeah, they were great, really thoroughly lovely folks too. They got horribly lost in Aberdeen, had dead phones and their synth player had fallen out a window (or something) the previous night, so was touch and go for a bit. Still played for an hour though, finished just in the nick of time (the manager just came through the door and shot us a "sort it out, guys!" look at 20 past 1). Couldn't have been happier with their set, they played amazingly and the crowd was great too. Edit: I enjoyed the synth, I was right at the front though.
