Scootray
Does anyone have any experience of this?A colleague at work said her husband deleted some photos of their grandchild off of his camera accidently before they've had the chance to get them printed. Does anyone know if these can be recovered? My thinking was that with the right software and a card reader it could be done? Any ideas? Chris
Yup should be possible as long as they've not used the SD card since.Try googling for some free software or if they're not that technical maybe places like Everest on Holburn Street, Tech Rescue on Rosemount Viaduct or Northeast Peripherals on George Street might be able to do it for them. framheim
yea certainly possible. some decent sd cards come with recovery software on a disc or you can download some: Memory Card Recovery Software to Recover Lost Photos - CardRecoveryor RescuePRO File Recovery Software - Data Recovery Softwarenone are foolproof but they are the best bet
Scootray
So would it be possible to use the camera as a card reader when plugged into a PC?
framheim
yea should be, depends on the camera and software but i don't see why not. though you can also buy usb card readers for a couple of pounds.

Lemonade
I did consider him, but wasn't sure if that was his thing?Yeah he can do that. He told me a funny story recently about a woman bringing in an SD card from which she'd accidentally deleted some family photos and she was quite upset aout it. When he restored them he had to restore everything that had been on the card.... I'll let your imagination fill in the rest! 8o
