If you "make" them, you hav to maintain them month by month, cos you snap all the individual hair while makig them. Eventually part of the dread gets thin, and then snaps off leaving you with half a dread. Want gooD healthy dreads? Leave your hair. Don't use shampoo. Don't brush it. Every now and then, roll hair in your hands. The hair stays healthy, it doesn't break etc etc it'll take a while but your dreads will be awesome.
