Chris
Tall Firs were superb, their set was a flawless victory.Undecided about Alastair Brown. He was giving a good impression of a great singer-songwriter and was a technically adept guitarist but there was something missing and I just don't know what it was. The best bit of his set, for me, was when he was strumming his acoustic during one song while shaking his hips; maybe it was just the angle I was viewing it from, but at that moment he looked exactly like George Michael in the video for Faith. That amused me.Greater The Shadow's set was much more interesting, I really liked the second song with all the piano and the last song had flashes of brilliance in it as well. If they polish it up a bit and cut out some of the mistakes then this kind of direction shows a lot of promise for them
Alan Cynic
I missed Alastair and Greater the Shadow (was at the Belmont), but really enjoyed Tall Firs
