An acquaintance as me to view it with him, to offer some technical advice. In my opinion it would need something like 150K spent on it in order to bring up to a serviceable condition (doesn't mean turn it into a palace). That won't stop some plonker from tarting it up for under 5,000 though... From the state of it, it would appear that is exactly what's been happening since 1982. It's a stinking hole.If someone did the work themselves then perhaps they could cut the bill in half. Still a lot of money to spend on somewhere you're leasing though. I've always liked the fact that you've always got Drummonds if you want a (relatively) quiet pint post-midnight. The open mic night always attracts some complete oddities.
