The best local band songs you've heard that HAVE BEEN RELEASED THIS YEAR. Not the best demos, or EPs, but the best individual SONGS.We'll pick ten songs from your suggestions, and these will comprise the shortlist.Then we form a jury of TWELVE RIGHTEOUS MEN to debate the top ten. We do this by means of a poll or several. We give you a list of promoters, kids from the scene, band members, media people, blah blah, you get the picture... and you vote for the people you think would represent you best on the panel of judges. The FUDGE JUDGES. Oh yes.Anyway, that motley crew have to pick the best song by a north-east band released in the year 2003.It's a laugh, but it's serious, RIGHT? (hopes!) yeah, we're talking 'appeared on a cd', preferably a self-released ep or demo, but anything on a compilation would qualify. not some badly recorded tat which the bands taped and gave to their mates.so i'm thinking x-certs, MDL, black atom, deadloss, maple and all the others who've released something this year...
