Teabags
No thread yet? Quite surprised.Anyway, New Zealand are a fucking force, as are Australia and South Africa (though South Africa were a bit heavy handed in the Samoa game) and Argentina of course have come in to this all guns blazing by beating France in the opening game (they must be GUTTED right now). England, though they won, were pretty shit against USA and though we're drawn 3rd(with South Africa) for most tries in a single match so far and got our bonus points for 4 tries (though we scored 8) against Portugal, theres still alot to work on, like sorting out our shitty hands in the backline. After all that was against Portugal, in their world cup debut, and they still managed to get 10 points against us.Second in Group C behind New Zealand after one game, despite Italy now having played two games, we've still got 5 points against their 4 with the bonus point. We're pretty much not going to beat New Zealand (if we did, we're in like flint). So, at this point, as long as we beat Romania and at least draw with Italy (unless we stay within 7 points of New Zealand, again, unlikely) and hope Italy don't thrash Portugal with more than 4 tries, we'll be through to the quarter finals against France, Argentina or Ireland. Realistically though, I think it's going to come down to the last game of pool C, against Italy, that'll decide who goes through.

Norseman
Scotland for the semi's, more rugby discussion is essential! Was at the Romania game and it was a great atmosphere even if it was bloody baltic!
Johnny Mac
Scotland will do well to qualify. That'll be a good achievement.Anything else is a bonus.

Captain America
As long as we dont have another game like 'that' game in the six nations we should beat Italy. We looked reasonably good in our last game, whereas Italy looked distinctly average against Portugal last night.Game will be tense, but i predict a win for us. Teabags
Italy managed to sneak in was it 2 tries through NZ though, so they're not at their worst. We need to clean up the hands in teh back row, cos though we're bigger with better support at the back and using the off-load well, sometime it's just plain stupid with some of the passes. Teabags
I was at Ma Cameron's for the Argentina game. Was fucking gutted. The Argie try that was our fuck up and then that kick which was just a bit too far in the last two minutes.Gutted. And can't believe NZ and Australia are out! France or SA for the cup, though I'm not sure who at this point.
Huw
Fiji have played a fucking blinder this world cup. it's mental.Well if it's between France and SA - the French are on home soil... they'll probably lose.Maybe if the Argies win then they'll have an ANNUAL competition to play in rather than just a four-yearly one. I think they;ve already done enough to warrent getting into the six nations, they will never get in the tri nations, think it would be too much too take for southern hemisphere teams to regularly get beat by the pumas.I think they will beat South Africa by just wearing down their discipline. Its not that hard for them to play in the europe anyway as most of their team play here anyway, so nip on IRB!. chuck Italy out if need be or have relegation? As for Scotland, shocking gameplan. Lamonts are too hot and cold for my liking and both were poor most world cup.Think parks has proved many critics wrong with the way he played, esp against Italy. Teabags
The first kick to goal by Parks in the Argie game was a fucking belter. They're was even talk as much to say that he might be one of the best technical kickers about just now.The Lamont's really let us down. Sean especially, despite both of them being so good before the tournament, I think they must have just choked.
