How long does Teabags have to rely on his parents? My parents are pretty well off now...but when I was growing up we weren't exactly opulent, and I'm skint as fuck now! Am I (was I ever) middle class?

I didn't say he does rely on his parents. He's got a good job himself.

If you were up shit creek without a paddle would your parents bail you out? Chances are they would because they can. That still makes you Middle-Class. Like i said, there's nothing wrong with that. Your folks worked hard, like Teabags parents, to get what they've got.

It wasn't me who was being pedantic. It was Teabags, i hadn't even noticed it until he pointed it out. I was only setting the record straight for Maxi who didn't seem to be following it. Irony is that i had one of the highest marks in Scotland for Higher English in 1997, so i really should know better.

Anyway, quit being smug, it'll catch up with you eventually.

Fair enough, sorry. For the record, I don't do smug, so your closing threat/sage advice (please say it was a threat) is irrelevant. Thanks though.

So the only difference between Savant and myself is MY parents live in the UAE. Yet I'm upper class and he's middle class. JUst cos UAE is rich, doenst mean everyone there is.

My mum and Dad don't make all that much money. Or else my mum wouldnt have had god knows how many jobs while living there. But, living there does mean they can rent out their house here, and therefore don;t have a mortgage to pay. Simple as that.

And yes,my Dad works in the Oil Industry. And my mum works in a school.

Actually it wasn't a threat for a change, I was being sarcastic in reference to what I'd said.

But just to keep you happy i will obviously oblige (as i know you love it):

I am going to 'one man spit roast' you if I ever get my hands on you and then I'm going to wear you like a hat. :)

I was just hoping it was a threat because the idea of getting that het up about someone correcting your grammar would have been a lot funnier than any "disturbing" collection of joke threats.

It wasn't a threat in the first place. So don't worry yourself. What you choose to read into things in the first place is none of my concern. You know me well enough to know that if i was going to threaten you i would have done so rather than to thinly veil it.
