Guest Tam o' Shantie
"This advert is now longer current."Not that the above statement makes sense, but I guess it means that it's been snapped up!
FatHand
Thats a shame. I was pretty tempted myself but my bank account didn't like the idea X-( I know a guy who is selling a Korg MS 2000 for around 320 if that is any use. Its got a Vocoder on it which is pretty cool. Guest Tam o' Shantie
It's not really for monosynth sounds, we have a moog mg1 that would cover any need for that. it's the dirty EP sound that we need! and 320 is a bit steep anyway. thanks for looking out for us though! Guest Tam o' Shantie
nah, but adam has an elec piano that we're gonna dig out when he's back from london, which will hopefully have some sounds that will be of some use. no idea what it is or how good, but it'll be useful enough to practice with for the time being anyway. Unfortunately I can't see anything in the classifieds that relates to an electric pianoI followed that link and found it really easily. The thread title was along the lines of "loads of gear for sale something for everyone," etc.
shaun
I followed that link and found it really easily. The thread title was along the lines of "loads of gear for sale something for everyone," etc.that's a korg piano for around 400, not exactly what he was looking for. RF Scott
that's a korg piano for around 400, not exactly what he was looking for.To be fair, Sam L4 said he wasn't sure if it was what he was looking for, and although its advertised as an electronic piano, it has "6 sounds," which will undoubtedly have rhodes/organ type included. Just pointing out what Tom missed.

HairyScaryMark
I have never noticed any good electric piano sounds on clavinovas. Korg electric piano emulations aren't particularly good either. a Korg MS2000 is a virtual analgogue synth and is not what Tom O Shantel is after, to the best of my knowledge.A nord electro would probably get you the best hammond and electric piano emulations from what is currently available from hardware. It is however out of your price range. An old korg, roland or yamaha ROM based keyboard is probably best what you are after. Look on ebay and ask on harmony central forums keys synths and samplers section.A Wavestation is not advisable as it works from wave forms. Realistic piano sounds can only be achieved through samples.note: the original rhodes weighs a ton and if you carry it by yourself your back will never be the same again. HairyScaryMark
If you're after a pro sounding model in hardware format for around 100, you are really looking at something second hand from the distant past. Or a not so pro model.
