Yayeth! I tried to convince the Bassment staff but they remain doubtful. Surely RossP can come along to spew in't Garage toilets all night and Maxi can get in fights with homosexuals and 'fake-tanned cumbuckets' and we can drink Southern Comfort with Craig until he passes out and gets pakora-sauced in his sleep and it'll be like you didn't miss out on the BESTNIGHTOUTIVVERtm with the runs or whatever crap excuse you used last time :D

Fake Dave Milne will hopefully be DJing in Glasgow that night as well to suffer abuse ^_^

Mishaps are commonplace upon visiting Glasgow!

Why on our trip to Tool recently I had my ear bent by a botoxed fiend who wanted me to go dancing with him, a person who was born in a bucket, a man who could add any items in his newsagent up in seemingly .65 seconds (if only a Hits 'n' Giggles competitor could manage a lap in a remote controlled car in that time...), some crazy Frenchman in a dressing gown and all manner of peoples. There were no forks for Pot Noodles! We were searched for spoons on the subway! It was terrortastic!

There will be no avoidance.

Tuts trip then? :D

i also just spoted this, but it's probably too late to get tickets...

After the success of their Mercury Prize nominated album 'Ballad Of The Broken

Seas' of which NME called 'an instant classic', Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan

will finally perform live together for the first time.

These much anticipated and long awaited shows are sure to sell out immediately.

The original venue for the London show, The Scala, has already been upgraded to

the Shepherds Bush Empire. See them at the following places:

JANUARY

21 - GLASGOW ABC (0141 353 8000)

23 - LONDON SHEPHERDS BUSH EMPIRE

24 - BRIGHTON KOMEDIA (01273 647100)

25 - BRISTOL ST.GEORGES (0845 402 4001)

It's been a busy year for Isobel, the former Belle & Sebastian singer, who, as

well as releasing 'Ballad Of The Broken Seas' in May, also put out her low-key

folk album 'Milk White Sheets' in October this year to critical acclaim. Isobel

also took to the road for the first time as a solo artist to promote 'Ballad'

but without Mark Lanegan. However, former Eugenius vocalist Eugene Kelly stepped

in to take his place.

Mark Lanegan, best known for his time as the gravelly-voiced singer with

Screaming Trees and latterly for his stint as a part-time member of Queens Of

The Stone Age has been in the UK recently. He has been performing live with

ex-Afghan Whigs vocalist Greg Dull?'s new band The Twilight Singers of whom he

will also be recording an album.

the next RELEASE YOUR KRAKEN night will be in association with Xtaster/RockSound/FOPP. it's a FALLOUT BOY promo thing, so we should have some goodies to give away...

"Promo materials for this campaign will include posters, Fall Out Boy fanzines, badges, record bags, t-shirt give-aways, copies of the single and copies of the album for DJ play," is what they said.
