Frosty Jack
I think I had one of those, or it may have been its bigger cleverer brother. It looked exactly like that, but it was definitely polyphonic, and I don't think it had the calculator. Got me through O Grade music it did. Still got it somewhere...*plink*
soundian
I think I've seen Real shocks talking about this bad boy. If they don't have one, they should. Just imagine sticking your piezo on it's state of the art speaker Ian. That would be a totally original, uncopiable sound. Not that anyone would want to copy it. ghost
Strange you should say that Ian....But no I hadn't thought of the piezo. It's a bugger I've glued it to the inside of my acoustic now isn't it? But if I can glue the guitar to the Casio.... hmm.....I've been using the wee beauty for years - it makes some great noises when you put it through FX software! And of course the demo is great.... (It would only sound 'charecteristic' with Simpson's piezo, mug him for it, it's the missing link in the Shocks sound)

Guest Dresden Style
in the year 2035 the rocknroll history database will say:''.......and so the nu Casio VL Tone Movement began almost un-noticed in a small dark town somewhere in the North of Scotland, yet those small beginnings were to become the essence and foundation of all the fantastic music we treasure today''were YOU there? soundian
Originally posted by Mouse Should I actually get one for funI mean I could even learn keyboard/synth parts for Rush & Dream Theater I used to play the synth part in The Trees on my bass, back in the old days. Nice round valve tone on the bass, get off with it. Blag central but it did work.

Look on the album sleeves, they normally list them there. Back in the old days he had a mini-moog, Taurus pedals and an Oberheim polyphonic I think.
