Own a Mac?

Recommended Posts

Be afraid! Be very afraid!!

With the recent move to Intel chips for Apple Mac's, everyone (idiots) immediately thought "duh..now we can install Windows on a mac". There was a whole host of people who worked day and night trying to crack it. Someone even did it, wrote their own boot loader and installed XP on their Mac. Well done, thats like buying a ferrari and adding square wheels. Of course some more clever people tried the opposite, installing OSX on a PC....

Someone caused alarm by hinting that Apple may disregard OSX and go the Windows route. Of course everyone thought this man was an idiot.

It was then leaked that some developers at Apple were working on some Windows support, it was guessed perhaps getting applications to run under OSX (maybe a program like WINE in Linux)

But what has really happened??

They are now offering mac users a tool to enable them to install Windows!!! The biggest downgrade of the century!

Vista was recently stalled....further driver support for Intel mac's perhaps?!?!

Looks like Micro$oft are eventually going to win.....

Sorry mac guys, you just lost an operating system that was actully good! :D

That's one of the big advantages of Mac's it's not Windows' date=' but seeing as Billy Gates ripped off Apple in the first place with the first GUI version of Windows it seems OS has now come full circle.[/quote']

What?

You mean Xerox didnt have anything to do with it?

Xerox GUI then Apple and Microsoft copied it?

Are you sure Microsoft copied apple with a GUI?

Im not

What so Apple (use) the xerox idea but microsoft rip-off the apple gui?

Copying is not the same as ripping off. Apple liked the Xerox GUI so Apple used it, Microsoft liked the improved version and used it as a base. They didnt rip it off

I thought all programs were made up of pre-written pieces of code spliced together these days - No more fun wi the Pascal and Basic I knew as a child! Once a piece of code is written, it's pointless writing it again, that's why all my software engineer mates are managing systems now instead of writing them.
