Guest Scott 5FD Posted March 10, 2004 Report Share Posted March 10, 2004 i've just started singing some songs and doing backing vocals for 5FD, but i'm finding it hard to keep my confidence in check. i get really nervous about singing, and as i'm playing bass at the same time, i fuck that up too.any tips on how to keep cool while singing and playing? Paulscoconutass Posted March 10, 2004 Report Share Posted March 10, 2004 Practice more and more, you might want to try and nail some wierd timing songs or songs with perminantely changing notes, i practice singing and playing CKY songs, they're hard but the satisfaction when you've learned them is pretty good. -matthEw- Posted March 10, 2004 Report Share Posted March 10, 2004 The only thing I can recomend is you have some means of recording yourself singing, and listening it to it, you will be able to highlight a lot more easily where you are going wrong.As for singing and playing at the same time, I suppose it would help just to know the song inside out so that playing it just comes naturally so you can focus purely on singing. Hog Posted March 14, 2004 Report Share Posted March 14, 2004 I find that if you learn the lyrics really well then you dont have to concentrate so much on what is supposed to be sung next.
