good call. i should have just stuck with the cd player

the ipod was a christmas present. the novelty wears off as soon as you realise its a pile of shite.

anyone have any ideas how to solve this problem? apart from of course chucking the fucking thing in the bin

Did you get the reciept with it? probably not seeing as it was a gift. I would try and get the reciept and hopefully get it swapped over for another one. I would much rather have a new one than get a dud one fixed.

technical support is usually my first port of call.....I think they have a 30 second warranty though, and this includes the time it takes you to open the box.

and less ikely to be seen how? u add a new post in an existing post it goes to the top

someone who had already viewed the thread and found that they be no help to the thread starter probably wouldn't look in the thread again.

if there's a new thread, however, they may take a look to see if they can be any help on a different matter.

Yeah, iRiver are damned good - very, very reliable products, or at least the one I had was. I think I had my 128mb (this was back in the day, people!) for about 3 years before it broke properly. It got revived from death like, twice in that period of time - once after it was in my pocket when I was playing british bulldog and it got smooshed, and once after some prick pressed down on the play button really hard until it didn't work anymore. My standard grade art teacher fixed it on both occasions, which was pretty cool of him.
