small enclosed area-fat as fuck' date=' strong songs with well thought out melodies

staccato set- one of the best bass "players" i have heard, great songs, stories.

kathryn sawers- one woman who can create a unique atmosphere

kitchen cynics- great tunesmithery written with heaps of charisma

eric euan- powerful, dynamic songs, with awesome melodies

filthpact- bone crunching drums and riffs with so much conviction it hurts

masamune- when on form they are truly awesome

x-certs- awesome great rythmn section, some great songs

deadloss- whiskey n roll chaos

werewolf corpse- awesome noise/doom merchant creating chilling pieces

M.A.R.T/Colonpenbracket- electro-emo-pop, awesome songs with great sense of melody

politik- intricate, well written songs, with a superb drummer

project ven hell- intense, bloodlusted, scrapping music. eat shit punk[/quote']

I grin like an idiot when bands just do it. They don't have to be funny, or full of novelty songs but if they get the song locked down and just make me stand there thinking "yeah, this is fucking great" then I'll grin like an idiot.

Local bands that do that for me are:

Small Enclosed Area

Dedalus

Eric Euan

Deadloss Superstar

Copy_haho

My Minds Weapon (Dan's stunt guitar work makes me smile)

Maple

Hmmm interesting indeed... it sounds like Funeral For A Friend, but on a Spectrum. What branch of emo is that? Spectremo? Emostrad? Emoga? 'ticon Emo?

(That's puns on amstrad and amiga in case anyone misses the "subtlety"...)

Sticking to topic: Dedalus.
