  1. The quotes from the 'victim' are amazing.
  2. On the whole written music thing above. Do the different musicians read the music as it is and play a different note or do they actually read the music differently? I.e. In Frosty's example above, giving the violinist the music which suggests they would play in D rather than C - does the violinist 'know' the music says D but he plays C or in violin written music terms is that actually showing it is in C? I too had assumed that all written music was transferable amongst all the instruments. My music reading is pretty shit in any case. I used to be able to recognise what a note placed on a line or a space meant but I'd probably struggle to even do that now.
  3. Great work by the Dnipro guy there - could have saved his life. I know keepers come out and collect balls like that all the time but fucking hell his knee was high - just about took his head off. Luckily for him, his team-mate acted so quickly.
  4. My calf injury is being a dick. No running since Friday. Hopefully I can get it sorted soon and get back into training again. Pain the arse like.
  5. So Liverpool can go top tomorrow. Shit's starting to get real. City have games in hand but it's getting very interesting up there. If arsenal can pull it back against City, even more so...
  6. Oooft! My brother scored a similar one for New Deer FC once. It's not on YouTube.
  7. That's "good" Scorge. So long as it's manageable. I've got a calf strain at the moment - visited the physio last night and it's "level 1 or lower" and can continue with the training - just some extra stretching etc. to do and keep an eye on it. Mulling over entering Baker Hughes too actually. Doing the Benromach 10k on 10th May and MOK Half Marathon on 25th May, so Baker Hughes on 18th May be be a bit much, but quite fancy it this year (having only ever done it back in 2004!).
  8. That's got to be a low point in your life. Sitting at your place of work and a plane flies past with a banner saying you should be sacked. Great times.
  9. Can Liverpool feasibly win the league? 1 point off the top spot with 7 games to go. City can obviously go 4 points ahead of Liverpool if they win the games in hand. Liverpool have both City and Chelsea to play at Anfield in the run-in. It is actually a possibility. I keep saying I can't see past Chelsea or City but the longer Liverpool stay right in the mix, the less convinced I am that they won't win the league. I still think City will do it but if Liverpool keep winning and manage to beat City at home in a couple of weeks' time it's going to be very interesting.
  10. Seriously - the Scottish game would be far better off without Rangers. If they somehow survive until they get back into the top flight, it will be a shitstorm all over again for a few years whilst they jizz money everywhere to try and win the old firm battle again, with all the shortsightedness that goes with it, and then go bust, leaving a load of outstanding debts to clubs etc. like they did last time. Or, they go bust now and get to fuck out of all of our lives forever and the game continues to improve and become more realistic and competitive.
  11. Biggest disappointments? Main one is that Rangers haven't gone bust yet. Genuinely.
  12. You're forgetting about Bebe. Once he's back, all of their woes will be forgotten.
  13. It's all bollocks anyway. The title race in Scotland hasn't been remotely competitive outside of the Old Firm for years, but the actual domestic game has been more competitive than it's been for as long as I can remember. The all conquering Celtic knocked out of the league cup by a lower league team and taken apart by Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup. Aberdeen winning the League Cup against ICT on penalties. The Scottish Cup is anyone's really - St. Johnstone probably least favoured to win the thing, but any of the other 3 left could win it. Great fight going on for second place. United look unlikely to get into second now, but it's not unthinkable. Aberdeen and Motherwell only a point apart with only 8 matches to go. Top 6 / Bottom 6 already decided though - but only 7 points separates 7th to 11th. All that with a lot of good football being played.
  14. Gary Neville, Phil Neville and Ryan Giggs. I've said that before and I'll say it again. If United want to carry on the Fergie philosophy, they need Fergie disciples. Promote from within (sort of) - a bit like Barca. I think they have to do that, or they have to appoint someone (not Moyes, although I thought he was a good choice at the time) who will have a long term project to change United - so it isn't an extension of Fergie. It's either that or just turn into one of the other clubs and cherry pick a top manager on big wages, who will be there for a couple of seasons at a time. If I was in charge, I'd go down the first route and try and get Gary Neville on board. Absolutely die-hard Man United into the bargain.
  15. Oi Joda, don't you be dissing my boyhood heroes. Everton Mavericks have fuck all to do with your plight. Take a look at the league table, buddy. And leave Martinez the fuck alone. You can take Ally McCoist from Rangers and do everyone in Scotland a favour. Or Neil Lennon. Or both for the dream team.
  16. Derek Adams looked very punchable last night.
  17. Logan looks better each time I see him play. He was one of the better players last night I thought. Tate's looked shaky any time I've seen him (which is only a handful of times) and Zola - words cannot describe how shite he was last night. Think I've only seen glimpses of him before last night though. He won a couple of headers, but his touch and close control last night was abysmal. That incident where he claimed for a corner was just embarrassing. He took about 4 touches to try and control it and the ball rolled hopelessly out of play and he turned and made a big case for a corner - oh the injustice. What a fud. Just control the ball better.
  18. Yeah yeah. I "announced" it prior to the cup game against Celtic... I had been fairly openly supporting the Dons before that and always hoping they did well. I've been to more Aberdeen games than Celtic games in the past 10 years. Even when I was classing myself as a Celtic fan, I'd nip down to Pittodrie to watch the Dons as I lived nearby and was always in support of Aberdeen. Didn't notice if Low was on the bench - I also missed the start (I caved and subscribed to BT Sports...). Zola was absolutely horse shit. He looks like a guy masquerading as a professional football player. He's conned someone, somewhere along the lines.
  19. So close with the Manchester derby prediction. Got the City goal tally spot on.
  20. Zola. Holy fuck. He's like a terrible Lee Miller. Missed Anderson's influence at the back. Good game though - County were very dangerous on the break. Impressed by Aberdeen - kept going for it right until the end. Could have gone either way. Langfield was great and shit in the same game. Well played.
  21. Where's Russell Anderson tonight?
  22. Few comments since I logged in... Re: 3/4 of Parkhead - that was in relation to League Cup final. If Aberdeen reach the final and don't get 50% of the seats that will be scandalous after them taking 40k and asking for more for the league cup final. I stopped following Celtic after becoming increasingly annoyed/sometimes appalled by the behaviour of the players and coaching staff. I forget which game it was that I made the decision but Stokes in particular was being a right cunt. I can't even remember what he did. It was over 2 years ago now. I've had a soft spot for Aberdeen ever since I stopped being a kid and not caring about bragging rights over my Aberdeen supporting mates. I didn't initially openly support Aberdeen when I stopped following Celtic. Not quite sure why - couldn't really be bothered with the turncoat type shit that I expected to get. In hindsight, I don't think anyone would have given a fuck. Been watching and hoping they'll win ever since though and this season just came out and told folk I'm supporting Aberdeen now. I feel like I've missed out on being part of something with my mates all these years which is a bit of a shame but nothing I can do about it. I feel absolutely nothing for Celtic now. Can't relate to them at all. I only supported them because my older brother and Dad did. Ironically, I first 'supported' Aberdeen but when I was 6, the day after Aberdeen won the Skol Cup (must have been in '88) I announced I supported Celtic. No idea why but I can remember it clearly.
  23. My broadband is hopelessly slow. Streaming a live football match, legal or otherwise, would be as much fun as staring at a photograph of Ross County's stadium for 90 minutes.
