  1. Still haven't forgotten about you Levi! Will be a post featuring some of your work and a link to your flickr up on the Kiosque soon...
  2. Sugar Minott! Proper reggae legend. That will be fantastic
  3. Just when I thought that we'd sorted out all the problems with the site, it appears our email addresses have been playing silly buggers. Please use thekiosque@googlemail.com for the moment if you need to get in touch/add stuff to the listings/want to write for the site etc Cheers F***ing websites eh?
  4. Agreed, Great atmosphere and some stunning music. Good work Philip
  5. Nice one. 100% better than the old Moshulu site. Ticketmaster own Ticketweb btw (as I'm sure you know Steven, but just saying for the benefit of others) so it's all much of a muchness...
  6. Right, it all seems to be back up and running again! The Kiosque We've still got some more stuff to add though, and we really want people to write for us, so get in touch if you've got an idea (contact details are on the site or PM me here) PS First podcast coming very soon indeed!
  7. A couple of their songs are well and truly stuck in my head now. Damn you, slightly shambolic indie-popsters!
  8. Cheers, Servers are updating or something so some of you may not be able to see the site at the moment. All should be well in a couple of hours or so...
  9. Gig was interesting, album is good yeah. Still convinced Derren Brown makes documentaries Andy?
  10. Hmmm I'm getting the error too now. Cheers, I'll post back when I've found out what's up and it's working again.
  11. Balls. I'll look into it. Cheers for the heads up though
  12. Really? Working fine for me http://www.thekiosque.com/ We are juggling a bit between hosts/domain names while we wait for transfers etc so it might have been something to do with that
  13. Shhhh! It's nae finished yet. Far from it. Heaps more to come! Cheers though
  14. Please, please do this, would fucking love to have it on our site. No probs about giving any fundraising gigs/albums a bit of a plug regardless though...
  15. If only there were more places in town with this attitude ie no-nonsense places with music that the punters actually want to hear (or am I just being an idealist?)... A decent boozer/bar with decent tunes. Not rocket science... (I'm aware that there are a few places who do a sterling job by the way, not having a go at them)
  16. Listened to it this afternoon. Really good quality. Nice one
  17. Cheers for this. Really enjoyed that gig. Good band.
  18. The P&J are saying The Warehouse/Moshulu re-opens tonight. Revamped club vows to bring top acts north - Press & Journal But I'm sure you said it was tomorrow (12th) with Twin Atlantic. Can you confirm Steven/anyone in the know who's out there? Cheers
  19. Watched this last night on iPlayer. Brilliant. Probably the best television programme ever made about Aberdeen. Really makes you look at the city in a different light, and his take on Trump/Wood were spot on.
  20. I disagree. Go to Middlesbrough, Stoke, Portsmouth, Plymouth and countless other cities in the UK and you'll see real musical 'backwaters'. We don't know how good we've got it. It's the constant, pointless comparisons with Glasgow/Edinburgh that bring us down. Rant Over.
  21. I'll tell you what I think: I think Aberdeen should buck the trend and do away with 'ranks' and all the negative connotations that the word 'rank' implies. Instead, we could be the first city to have 'Taxi Awesomes' which will have roofs and comfy seats and plasma tvs with a wide selection of movies and someone mixing mojitos while their colleague makes fresh, tasty but affordable Mexican food and ten pen bowling lanes and maybe a log flume. That's what I think.
  22. Check oot the video we've got of them doing 'Pick Up The Pieces' from Montreux in 1977 in our preview Average White Band Just in case you need to hear it again...
  23. Been noticing this kind of thing/hack a lot more of late, we haven't been affected as yet though. On a side note, it's pointless trying to 'gain followers' when it's just going to be random people, especially if you're going after a specific audience. For the record, it's been really good for us and can be just as important as the site at times (albeit it reaches a much smaller audience, but they tend to be the type of people we're after.) We're here by the way: The Kiosque (thekiosque) on Twitter
  24. What we said (in case you missed it, which you all obviously didn''t,right?) The Sunshine Underground Tomorrow!
  25. Yeah, I knew I should have gone to see The Tivoli at last year's Open Doors Day. Damn. Didn't realise that it would be taken off the list after being bought (understandable though). Now it'll probably take forever until they sort out the cash/paperwork/logistics of the refurbishment, then another year or so to get it done (If it gets done that is). Hope so though, I've never been inside the damn place!
