You may be right about aberdonians but remember that they aren't breeding and in fact are working on advanced ways of prematurely ending their lives. I can't remember a time when aberdeen had more implants and sooner or later they'll have a better idea than opening a hairdressers on King St! There's more diversity in the population here now than I ever recall. Don't still be saying yer moving in five years, though, or you'll look like a bit of a cunt!

I definitely agree with the oil fund idea and it seems ironic to me that it's the nationalists pushing for it. It's disgusting that an oil rich region of the UK has some of the worst poverty in western europe. I won't mention the 'I' word. And yes, they should be slashing tax and duty on fuel. There should be a formula to deal with inflation in oil prices to periodically adjust this. While it might be a bonus in some ways to have a massive tax windfall to cover deficits, it's not a lot of use if the economy subsequently tanks and public sector spending rises as a result.

See, these are exactly the sort of eateries and venues I don't know about! I dig Saigon. I'm not sure how great it is, on the scale of vietnamese restaurants, but my work had a very tasty 'tapas' style meal there and we got pretty wankered on Tiger beer.

Too true. It's great living in a big, cosmopolitan, vibrant city for a time, but I found that it got on my nerves after a while and I developed an ernest desire for everyone to just get the fuck out of my face. People (mostly) leave you the hell alone in Aberdeen and I very much appreciate it. Plus, it's not so pasty faced as I recall. I think I can survive here for a time. But when I get on my tirades, I should be off again!
