  1. In for Absolutist.

    Perfect addition. :D

G'lad. You actually remind me a bit of Chris Kaddish for some reason. I don't wanna say you will, but I reckon you might like the two Dundee bands. Hopefully anyway.

Sorry for the lazy Neurosis comparison below:

Could a mod change the title to:

    Kaddish / Bonehouse / Carson Wells / Absolutist | Tunnels 2 | 27th February

and stick this in the descriptions:

    Absolutist

Super promising local doomy/sludge metal hybrid made to crush. Big riffs and dual vocals FFO Neurosis and the like.

Absolutist | Aberdeen, UK | Metal / sludge / hardcore punk | Music, Lyrics, Songs, and Videos | ReverbNation

  2. Put the whole album up for streaming here. You can also check out some of those tunes live by following the links from that page too.

If you like it and come to the gig, you can purchase it on 12" for FOUR POUNDS. It comes with a download code for anybody who doesn't have a record player or wants to stick it on their iPod.

Hopefully the support will be announced soon. Cheers tothe mod who changed the price.

  3. Black is a really dark colour, and I would totally have a black fender with a maple board.

Yeah I don't think it's specifically a dark light think, but there are some guitars I see and I think, that just shouldn't be maple. I like the lacquer on maple boards, but I feel I play better with a dark wood.

I think the sunburst jazz master look rough, but the butterscotch is the polar opposite - amazing. Looks just like my bass.

  4. Kaddish

Righteous, emotive hardcore from guys who have been doing it for 10 years. Goes from spastic, awkward time signatures to uplifting shout-alongs to a kind of fragile twinkle. One album out last year, another one on its way.

    Autumn Jams

    Bonehouse

Kind of picking up the old Archives/TFOBK influence, but toning down the post rock and turning up the twiddle. Think From Monument To Masses when quiet, and Daitro when loud with some Funeral Diner/Portraits of The Past thrown in there too. Hopefully some new tunes in time for this one.

    Carson Wells

Another trio, but doing a post hardcore meets emo type thing, heavily influenced by, but not really sounding anything like Meet Me In St. Louis, Kolya and Tool.

  5. Would love one of these

How are they so much better than anything else, if you don't mind me asking? Are the sounds produced just that much better quality? I hear people creaming over them, but I hate patches and shit. I suppose if it sounds that good and has that many sounds it could be a super powerful recording tool.

  6. Maybe I'd like to downsize my amp - quite intrigued by the Ibanez Promethean, I'm going to get a shottie of one next month and see how they go, if it's favourable and I can get the funds together then it's bye bye Hartke 3500 and Ashdown ABM 4x10 - I really like the amp and it's a good cab but a heavy beast! I think the starter 1x10 "combo" (you can remove the amp and use as a mini head if you like) and a second 1x10 would make for a loud, light and versatile setup.

Sounds like a similar idea to that range of TC Electronic amps they brought out a while back.

  7. Ooh, that looks quite sexy - got a link where you've been looking?

[EDIT= Found it: FENDER SQUIER CLASSIC VIBE P-BASS 50` - Thomann UK Cyberstore ]

Yeah. 250ish ain't bad. All about the aesthetic more than the playability I'd imagine, but I really wanna try one out. Don't play my bass enough in my spare time to warrant something that's not a direct back up to my Sandberg.

Was thinking about this if I ever need a back up - stick some ok pickups in it:

  8. Electro Harmonix 'Freeze' pedal. Waiting for it to arrive.

Smart! What you wanting that for?

Any sort of delay. Was thinking of getting a reletively cheap analogue one, but the digital ones are so versatile. Any recommendations?

Despite the fact I just got a guitar I really like the look of this:

  9. Not EVERY one, an awful lot though, but the ones when they don't have a story line are quite good. I liked the weapon one, not as cringe fighty as some i've seen, flood of reds video was pretty good too. Band in a barn thing though, totally see the point there, but if it looks good i don't see why not, it's the same as bands playing in woods, seems to be your not worth your salt anymore if you don't have a music video shot in the woods.

Seriously? Because the fighting in that made me look away.

Botchla is the king of guitars not plugged, playing in stage format to nobody in abandoned barn shenanigans.

I think the Meet Me in St Louis video was Sitcom Soldiers and was doss, but it probably because the tune was totally rocking. It's pretty much that FOR video with lamps instead of clocks.
