  1. I think Austen is particularly hard to read because excruciatingly small amounts of information are related in very dense passages. How can someone brought up in a Nintendo era seriously entertain the prospect of wading through six or seven pages devoted to Mr Whatever's handwriting and how it reminds one of his disposition and character etc etc...Fantastic detail Love - expertly scripted - but I could've rolled through three shark attacks, a bank robbery and an unwanted pregnancy by now!
  2. It looks fantastic. Hope it plays better than my Crafter.
  3. And in reference to Peaches. Did no-one see the programme where she went to India to 'discover' what being a teen is like elsewhere in the world? (if not, it was a very badly scripted 'OMG you do things differently' type of affair).
  4. What's the point in slouching through a tradition that isn't really matched by the actual 'achievement'?
  5. It's not so bad. Much better than anything by that Austen bloke anyway..
  6. There's nothing morally wrong with girls having sex, is there?
  7. Apparently schools have no legal right to make kids wear uniform. They can, however, sternly encourage..
  8. Nah, I'm actually pretty sure it's there in the Bible.
  9. I was always led to believe he popped his clogs a few years back.
  10. Yeah man rock on! I think you're the dude to do it! Ever thought about writing a book?? I'd buy that shit lol.Rock on!! :headbang: P.s, Rock on dude!!
  11. Quite happy with how this came out. I think it's much better than the others I posted. Enjoy! Drake Fake www.myspace.com/kimyreizeger
  12. Maybe, but believe it or not, it is hoped there will be human life beyond Stichman..
  13. Doesn't a slogan such as 'Abortion is murder' convey more a sense of sensational, sentimental, 'gone-through-a-trauma' teenage shock-seeker young mum on the path to figuring who she is, than well blanced, well informed and experienced human rights advocate? By your argument, how can she comment, she's never even had an abortion..In fact, I don't think most politicians have ever endured much below the poverty-line. And who exactly is she advertising these opinions to? A bunch of equally clue-less schoolkids. If you think this girl is worth sitting up and paying attention to, then do so, but I've got better things to do. Bottom line is, the school shouldn't have bothered saying anything.
  14. They are relevant for those interested in pushing the boundaries of what man and machine is capable of - one which isn't neccessarily restricted to a niche audience. Not to mention fulfilling the competetive spirit and ambition of those who partake in it, and the audiences who procure entertainment from it. Basketball, now what good does that do?!?!! and don't even get me started on Tamagotchis!! If only everyone was as wholesome and globally benefitting as me (as I turn on my cd player - another pointless by-product of humanity no doubt)
  15. University debating teams should be asked to take sides on the paedophilia issue. That would certainly seperate the men from the boys.
  16. If you read my other post you'll see that's exactly what I said. However, I doubt a sixteen year old has sufficent experience to really understand what she's saying on such an issue, hence there being not much reason to pay any attention to it.
  17. Something tells me a naturally occurring ice age spanning a number of years inconceivable to you or I is in a different ball-park to the damage done by three or four human generations. I can see a markedly different human existence emerging in the next thirty years; a significant restriction on things we currently take for granted, or a polluted, over-crowded shit-hole.
  18. I see a bland news article suggesting that the a fair whack of the population don't fully understand how rapid atmospheric change will be in the foreseeable future.
  19. We learn from our mistakes; it's the thought that counts.. Lovely, gushing phrases, don't you think?
  20. Apparently, the IRA had a string of similar failures before they managed to get things going.
  21. Because teen pregnancy and abortion is a relevant, continually ascending issue at her school and society as a whole. The reason you don't wear an anti-paedophilia t-shirt is because A, it's generally not an issue that permits two explicit stand-points (one being universally accepted as 'right', thus there is no debate, and no need to advertise) and B: you have never been personally affected by the issue you'd apparently be protesting against, something which generally motivates people into particular standpoints. Or I've touched a nerve; you were raped. This hardly feels like a newsworthy debate - teenagers and badly-formed opinions go back a long way. Whilst writing this I read the introduction to Rik Waller's wikipedia page.
  22. 'Loans, I know NUFFFIN abahhht loans' I can't imagine there are many on here who could throw any reasonable voice of authority on the technical aspects of opera singing. Thus, on a point of aesthetics, I find this music pretty annoying / ear-splitting.
  23. Oh, sorry. I'm frightened that so many aspire to this sort of thing, I guess that's just the way trends work.
