  1. I've used this firm several times for a number of types of battery & power supply (mainly camera/camcorder) & found them fine. Cheap, fast delivery & no problem with compatibility/capacity charging etc. Global-Batteries laptop, digital camera, camcorder batteries
  2. However, they like bungees. Which is a big point in their favour:
  3. My cholesterol is reasonable - in the 4s, despite the odd rowie, supper or pudding.
  4. Luckilly she was far enough out of the way to only suffer minor scalds. I think I was termed an "experimental" child. :O I always found the Zanre's in Buchanhaven better, although I must admit to having spent a good few hours kanoodling in the Peterhead cafe before now. Their branch in Mintlaw is nae bad either.
  5. This just had to be done: Raw mealie pudding.
  6. I used to put some water in them, tighten the lid with a chisel & put on a bonfire. Impressive! Once left one simmering on my gran's cooker. She probably wanted to kill me after it went-off!
  7. Shit no! o_O We used to mix that stuff with vodka & neck it whilst still it was still fizzing. That combination of sugar-rush & impending alcohol poisoning is something I'd rather not have to repeat!
  8. Had some orange curd tarts last week & a lemon merangue pie a while before that but so it must be out there somewhere! Tins of Tate & Lyle are getting difficult to get hold of round here - The squeezy stuff seems more popular instead. Not the same, esp the lack of that extra tanginess as you toward the bottom of it!
  9. I am actually a rather good & nutritionally sensible cook - Which also gives me scope for the occasional blow-out. That moment when nothing but the finest junk food will do!
  10. None of that southern stuff please!
  11. How about cheese, onion, chilli & bacon! Or hot smoked salmon as another pal is partial to. She buys her butteries (fae Dundee!) 60 at a time as she lives away out in the sticks! On the sweet front, there is little better than a good sized dollop of golden syrup IMO: Another night.
  12. I'm feeling hungry now: My occasional favourite late night munchies of a couple of pies & some second-day bakery from Thains may not do! The pancakes are for breakfast the next day BTW. Don't want to seem too much of a guts! Burrrrrrrrpp!
  13. Yes - There was a discussion about this on another board & someone went & asked them about it - Ended-up being shown round & got a few photos. It is all still up there but IIRC there was a fairly minor problem with the H&S/Access regs that closed it in the first place & prevent Primark from reopening it without building modifications. FTM, Primark are not in the food biz so are unlikely to bother doing much about it. They did however recognise the requirement to maintain the listed part of the building (the old hall) so otherwise, the space itself was in fairly good condition. Think it may have been used for staff training? When Littlewoods first took over Trinity Hall, the old hall was the up-market dining room, with a better & dearer menu than the main restaraunt beside it. The only pic I can quickly find online is this:
  14. The little deli-looking place? Seen it but not been in yet.
  15. A very long time ago. Do the names - Gordon or "Plank" ring any bells?
  16. You mean the one we were trying to light via the farts from another one of our party? :O :O
  17. Ahh - Yes that's it. It was.
  18. A good few years back, I worked the recording of a pilot episode for a proposed new talent show. Thankfully they were not back in vogue at that point & the idea got no further. I can honestly say I have seldom seen anything quite so disturbing. The level of obsession, determination and competition amongst the performers/families/"managers" etc was quite unbelievable - they were up for anything that would keep them in front of the cameras.
  19. I got barred from the Dutch Mill a long time ago. It involved a rousing performance of Great Balls of Fire & got one of their barstaff sacked at the same time. Oops!
  20. Have they not put-up their prices a lot in the last few months? My elderly ma used to meet her pals there reqularly but went appolpectic when they charged her somewhere over four quid for a cup of coffee & a rowie. The last time I ate in there was not exactly impressive either & pretty dear. Maybe they are stacking the site fees as part of the renovation/expansion plans for the centre?
  21. That is enough to put anyone off their breakfast! o_O
  22. Customer facing job maybe? Been there!
