  1. Hi All I am delighted to announce that Deviltrain will be supporting the awesome Hayseed Dixie at Woodend Barn, Banchory on March 26th 2008. Priced at 15 tickets can be purchased from www.thebooth.co.uk I understand that there are only about 40 left! You can also check in and see what we are doing on www.myspace.com/detrendiablo Deviltrain are proud to be associated with : - Iceberg Arts A fantastic new social enterprise. Iceberg can provide commercial print, design, full colour output and much more. www.iceberg-arts.co.uk Nessmp3 The best music and networking resource there is around for bands, individual artists and music fans, check it out www.nessmp3.com Village Sunsets By far the most intimate, friendliest and good time quality gigs there is to find Dare you to visit www.myspace.com/villagesunsets Meantime take very good care Larry Deviltrain
  2. Guys Just wanted to pass on a wee find Came across Iceberg Arts on Summer Street who do posters, fliers etc and are very reasonable compared to high street printers, they have just not long started trading. They particulary welcome small jobs and runs, something I often get tutted at when I ask. Give Ali or Graeme a shout on 622027, tell them Scottie fae Deviltrain sent you (Always hopeful of a further discount in future!) Cheers
  3. Hey there A possible solution to your problem might be to try registering with Nessmp3.com: home you should also try and get hold of medicinemanny (rob ellen )whose myspace is MySpace.com - The Medicine Show MySpace.com - The Medicine Show - 52 - Male - Dingwall, UK - www.myspace.com/robellen Inverness based but has reaches far beyond the borders and coastline. We have found it superb for getting our tunes radio time and to a wider audience of musicians fans and promoters. We have had numerous offers and are working on a few since we got on, also many of the artists are a great craic. The guys that run it are excellent in giving advice, pointers and names to contact. They also want more cross fertilisation (phnarrr) of bands throughout scotland and acknowledge that its difficult for smaller bands to break out of their areas unless they are in the central belt Give it a try its free, you can upload songs, images, theres blog, features, live chat etc etc etc Unlike nastyspace they done take just any old shite which is another bonus of the site you want to more pm me, tell them The Rev directed you to them Cheers Larry

  7. try this one then guys honestly this is a great site Nessmp3.com: home some great local, national and international talent. great radio streams where you get your music aired across the globe. they are keen to link in with the aberdeen circuit and join up the aberdeen area as they are highland based
  8. Now that Ive got your attention Check out this site Nessmp3.com: home. This is a national home grown site and is certainly worth a visit. We have been on it for a little while now and have found the service (which is freeeeeeeeeeee) to be excellent. Sadly there is not enough Aberdeen talent registered there so you guys are really missing out. They have dedicated live stream thingy radio slots most nights with interactive chat rooms and our music has been played across the globe. It is also a great site to network and collaborate with other artistes, like minded folk, bands etc. Anyway dinnae take my word for it and have a look. Nessmp3.com: home Its about time that there was some kind of resource which incorporated and linked the excellent "Northeast" music scene with the rest of civilisation and to keep up the vibrancy and nessmp3.com could be the vehicle If ye want to know more about our experience pm me Cheers Larry Deviltrain

We've had some excellent gigs and feed back since the last post In the coming months watch out for the following gigs Stonehaven Folk Festival Saturday the 7th of July (95% confirmed negotiating the amount of sets) Silver Bullet Club (Tunnels) 3rd of August A couple more in the pipeline For the new tunes www.myspace.com/detrendiablo For the recent pics Deviltrain_photos - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Larry
  11. Sounds rather dodgy!!! You should have a short assured tenancy with your landlord, and there should be reasonable notice given to renew tenancy and advise of rent increases. I would take advice Try CAB or the friendly bunch at Aberdeen Cyrenians 647360 Larry
  12. This is indeed a rarity. A touch of class well above the recent reintroduction of the x160 aimed at rockabilly musicians. This is number 61 of 129 made and as such is a collectors item. It has an awsome sound and is also unique in that it is a Savoy model but has a manhattan scratch plate fitted. Comes with hard case and birth certificate. This is not the x160 Rockabilly model hence I am lookin for a reasonable 1300 ono You can a have a lookie by going into the pics section on my myspace www.myspace.com/scottiestunes MySpace
  13. that would be superb, pm me. I work in town during the week so could easily meet for a beer larry
  14. Would any of you guys have a pedal equaliser I could borrow to try out? I have just fitted a fishmans pick up to my banjo, and although the amp is picking it up well, im having a little trouble with some annoying intermittent feedback where there is no rhyme or reason to it. Can you help, gies a shout Larry
  15. OOOps forgot to mention, for those who dont like axeminster flavoured crisps we are playin at night at the Tunnels and then on Sunday supporting the awesome Peatbog Faeries at Drummonds featuring natural wood and beeswax flavoured crisps!
  16. Thank you Biz for pointing out that Deviltrain (that is Deviltrain without the space!!) are indeed playing on the Saturday. Good to hear that there are crisps scattered about as one can get very peckish during a gig!! All are welcome to come along as so far it sounds like quite a few peeps are preparing to step on board the Deviltrain

  24. Folks Sad memories have encouraged me to finally part with a prized possession. This Guild is a rare piece indeed. It apparently came out of the Guild factory as a one off!! It was a Savoy model fitted with a Manhattan (Skyline) scratchplate and if you ask me it looks better. It is in immaculate condition, with an amazing sunburst and a far better quality of finish that the recent 'rockabilly' versions.. I am looking for serious offers only, ie from those that know or who are willing to do their homework. I can provide you with seriel numbers to prove its authenticity. I can also send on as many pics as you want You can also get in touch through myspace www.myspace.com/scottiestunes
  25. Cheers Starky never thought about that, Come to think of it might ask the old accordionist across the road if he is free in the evenings!!!
