  1. Maybe you have a van and are free sometime between now and wednesday and can give us a hand shifting some stuff from Spital to Schoolhill? Or maybe you know someone who can? Will pay you for your time! Any help GREATLY appreciated Just email me at dolls_Wear_latex@yahoo.co.uk and I can send you my number, or reply here.
  2. Bonesaw Bazz, I definately could have misheard it. Anyway, the boyfriend had a think and said there was an abondoned building near King Street Morrisons, so we went and had a look. It certainly looks like some form of medical facility, but we didn't stick around long because there was a lot of dirty junky needles and I was afraid of getting attacked by dirty junkies!!!! Lol. I have no idea what it was, but it's got little sinks in every room and a distinct medical feel to it, you know, the medical green walls and hospital-like doors. I just remember my guy at work saying he was going to Duthie Park, and that's why he was in the area. Even though that's not really near to King Street, but the part about the stuff being still there is most definately bull, I didnt believe it for a minute. I'm really interested in old abandoned buildings, I just like to get in and take pictures. I have a few of the one near King Street Morrisons, but my camera died, and like I said, we didn't stick around long. I do however, have hopes for the nursery on Spital! That looks wicked!!!!!!!!
  3. One of my friends at work was telling us a little tale of driving to an abondoned mental hospital in the King Street area. Bull crap or not? Ok, the bull crap is probably the part where he tells us that the notebooks are still there left open with pens on them, and nurse's uniforms still hanging... I just want to know if it's really there, EXACTLY where it is, and if you've ever heard anything about it?
  4. Ok, so far I've got quotes from 2 removal firms. I can't get anyone elso to answer the phone or the emails I've sent to their websites. Where else, other than google, would I find anyone with a transit van who can take one or two trips to help me move some boxes?? I can't afford 100 + for a proper removal firm.
  5. :swearing:So far I've managed to contact 2 places. Nowhere else is getting back to me. I got a quote for 110 and another for 150. This sucks.
  6. Well, I was asking in case anyone knew any firms that were notably good, bad, expensive or cheap.
  7. Hey, anyone know where I could hire a van or a car for a couple of days and what the prices are like? At the moment I'm looking for prices with a driver AND without, cos I may have someone who can drive, but it's only a possibility...
  8. I have a GORGEOUS room available in the city centre. The flat is amazing, it's HUGE. I move into it on July 1st. The Living room is MASSIVE! There's two chairs, a HUGE 3 seater sofa bed, shelves, and TV cabinet. It also has a dining table and two HUGE windows which let in plenty of light Attached to that is the kitchen which has LOADS of cupboard space, fridge, cooker, washer and dryer, microwave and it's beautiful, all looks really modern. The bathroom has a bath and shower, toiler (well d'oh!) and a sink, this too is really big and really nice looking! The bedroom has a built in wardrobe, single bed and drawers. It is actually big enough to put in a double bed if you want to. The hall has a cupboard with the boiler in it and loads of shelving in it too. It's on Schoolhill, right in the centre of town and right by the number 20 bus stop, which will get you to Uni. There's a security entry and the hallway is big enough for you to lock up your bike no problems, that is if you have one!!! Call me if you're interested, you an view it anytime from July 1st. It will probably be evening times, but I'll know for sure when you call! Oooh, actually, send me an email for my number, I dont wanna just give it out on the internet. My email address is dolls_wear_latex@yahoo.co.uk I'm online nearly all the time so I'll get right back to you and send you my number.
  9. Looks like a plumper version of Jodi Marsh with Jade Goody's nose. Poor woman.
  10. Anyone have a double room or a flat that's suitable for a couple? We only need a decent sized bedroom with double bed. There's not much baggage at all (lol)! Also, we have pets in a cage, (think of hamsters).
  11. Thanks, Larry, I really appreciate that. I live with my BF and as he's finished Uni for the summer, he's going to CAB, but thanks for that number, I'll give that to him when he's finished ranting on the phone about our landlord to his parents!Meanwhile, I've already been online and found 2 possibilities should we be moving out. It's really crazy that we have to give him 40 days notice if we want to move out yet he can print off a letter on the 31st of May saying that our rent is increasing the next day!!!. You could say I'm quite pissed off right now. He spoiled my night of designing my next tattoo!!!!
  12. Sorry about this, I'm not really sure who to ask for help about this.. Long story short, our Landlord has sent us a letter which we only received today. It was first class, so it was sent in the last couple of days. The letter is dated May 31st. They want us to sign another contract to stay here for the next year (we've already been here a year) AND they want to increase our rent by 70. Our withstanding contract says that after we have been here a year we can stay here month by month at the original agreed price. It doesn't say anything about rent increases or having to sign a new contract. I put down the date we got the letter because they want us to send them a cheque for the arrears for June. So basically, they want to increases our rent by 70 starting from the 1st June, and the letter they sent us is dated 31st May. Surely they can't do this to us? We've been on the phone to him just a couple of weeks ago to say that we're going to stay on for a year, and he didn't say anything about new contracts or rent increases then, and also, we were on the phone to him THIS WEEK because our roof was leaking and he failed to mention it to us then.
