  1. i would have been up for this but i live in edinburgh now awesome music though, good luck!
  2. Most people think its either the best or most appalling idea they've ever heard. just want something totally original that people will rememeber. Keyboards are pretty much the only way to successful play dance music live. And i mean properly LIVE not just pressing play on a CD player or sampler. So keytars just make things look cooler, or gayer, its an aquired taste.
  3. Okay so i just moved to Edinburgh for a music degree. I spent a ridiculous sum of money on a Roland AX-1(keytar) and think it would be cool to play it in a band. I've been writing dance/pop music for a few years and have a number of songs that could be used in a band. I think it would be cool to have two or 3 keytarists, a singer, drummer and a guitarist. I kind of picture this band playing dance/ happy hardcore style pop music and somehow getting into the mainstream pop or dance charts due to the keytar niche and awesome songs i've written and will write. I can send MIDI files of songs i've written if your interested Is there even any other keytar players out there?
  4. Cheers! lol Yea the band has drastically improved since me and our drummer Dick joined. Infact its probably a completely different lineup to the one you heard four years ago. Also don't judge us too much on our filthy homemade recordings we are MUCH better live!
  5. Yea it was a complete scam but at the end of the day we got to play to a fairly packed moshulu, loads of people have heard our music and there was lots of free food and beer. Not to mention getting to meet lots of cool people- and a few wankers!
  6. Ascension : Moshulu | SpoiltCat.com Photos and review!
  7. i'll give you 25 for one. this might seem insulting but if it gets closer to the time and you still havnt sold them hit me up
  8. lmao yea. come to the gig if you want, its a bit filthy but should be good banter. my friend boris trevor bruno macdonald will be there especially to see ascension init
  9. nah this gig went superbly!! our last drummonds gig went a bit tits up but we're playing theyre again on october 26th
  10. Its pretty easy to produce a high quality recording at home these days, but the thing that usually shows the difference between a pro recording and a bedroom recording is the drums. Indeed even alot of big bands are tending to record everything at home apart from drums and vocals which they would go to a studio for. I think this is probably the best way to get a high quality recording that is fairly cheap and i think thats what we'll start doing from now on init. Seagate studios in dundee seems to get a good drum sound and is better than anything i've heard from Aberdeen. So its pretty much between there and the slightly more pricey Thin Ice studios for the next Ascension recordings
  11. We are a currently unnamed power metal band which has a guitarist(me), keyboardist and drummer. We are looking for a talented vocalist and bassist to complete the lineup. We are looking for a singer who can actually sing(not scream) so if that is your intentions look elsewhere. Influences include: sonata arctica, stratovarious, yngwie malmsteen, gamma ray, power quest, blind guardian, helloween etc I have written a lot of songs so far and have lots of ideas for more. I can send you MIDIs or guitar pros if you are interested, cheers, fraser
  12. lol me and doc wanted to join a wedding band. we gave all our details to a guy in some agency. still havent heard from them...
  13. i'm offering the tickets for face value(20) when i put them on ebay people were bidding over the face value. i didn't set out to make a profit but if people want to give me extra money i'm not going to say no. A ticket tout is someone who buys lots of tickets with the intention of selling them on for a profit. I've had no such intentions, so im not a ticket tout, so don't call me a cunt, cunt.
  14. My girlfriend bought them but her friends don't want to go so i told her i'd get rid of them. And selling them for face value is hardly ticket touting you muppet.
  15. sold them on ebay, here what you saying collette?
  16. how many you want? i've put a couple on ebay and am making a nice profit off them 8-)
  17. friend of mine is trying to get rid of 3 cascada tickets for glasgow on the 26th. i think the show is sold out aswell. 20 each
  18. That is so true. I've been watching the peep show alot recently. It's my type of humour. Also Jimmy Carr and Ed Byrne stand up DVDs. Keeps me laughing.
  19. i got pulled over last night by a policeman with a speed gun in beildside but they couldn't charge me because one of them was being trained
  20. what do you mean? probably not i just wanted to know who could write such a catchy song but apparently it was no one from around here.
