  1. Are people maybe taking the whole name thing a bit too seriously?
  2. Led Zep? Listen to the lyric for Sick Again - "one day soon you're gonna reach sixteen" etc.
  3. Angus is definitely under rated. Because AC/DC aren't an arty band, they don't get the credit they deserve for being musically talented. Same problem Rory Gallagher always seemed to encounter. I would agree Malcolm Young is the main talent in AC/DC (Angus Young openly admits it).
  4. There's a track on the new Franz album which sounds like an amalgamation of Franz Ferdinand and Bloc Party.
  5. I think the point I made was pointless, but thanks for taking the time to answer. However, I'd be interested to hear why you'd think I'd be interested in checking out any band due to their name.
  6. Ach, I'm sure people like Mike McCurry will be hardened to the stick they get from fans by now.
  7. Brilliant. That's easily the smartest thing anyone's said. As I said on another thread, the movement to ban anything that could even possibly be construed as racist (someone mentioned Baa Baa Black Sheep) only pisses people off.
  8. I don't think it's white supremacist propoganda, because they're all too thick to understand sarcasm.
  9. Leif, I was going to write... "That's right, I've never been to either ground, never heard Celtic fans singing about the IRA or Rangers fans singing "fuck Bobby Sands". Never seen Celtic scarves with "The Undefeated Army" written on them or Rangers scarves with "No Surrender 1690" on them. Never even seen a Tricolour or St Georges Cross. Bastard, must have mixed them up with Partick Thistle again. On the subject of Wegies, aside the fact I originally come from Glasgow, I don't really have any opinion on them one way or the other." Then I thought, with the amount of abuse you wrote in your post to me (ie I'll call you names because I don't have an argument), you do a good enough job of sounding like a moron without any help from me. There's not point in arguing with people like you, because you'll go on till you're blue (or green) in the face about something that's so obvious to everyone else that it would be funny if it wasn't so disgusting. I should add that I'm not going to get into a fight about this, because I don't want the thread hijacked with this subject.
  10. Would you listen to a band called The Child Molestors? It's just the same thing but on a less extreme level.
  11. We have a similarly popular duo promoting racism and bigotry in Scotland - Rangers and Celtic. I fucking hate them. As was said, in Britain, parties like the BNP and UKIP are pulling in more votes than they used to, the Labour Party are putting Asylum Seekers in prison for simply being here, the London media struck out against Liam Fox when he was running for the Tory leadership because it could have created a situation where Brown, Fox and Kennedy (ie. three Scots) were leading the three big parties. And to think that the left thought Britain would learn to live in peace and harmony, regardless of colour or ethnicity, when they finally managed to rid TV of that bastion of white supremacy, Al Jolson. Generally, I think trying to convince people that racism is akin to scummery does more to polarise opinion than to solve the problem. Although I'm not excusing any racist (far from it), I think the left have caused a lot of the trouble through their constant self-righteous (puritanical is probably a better word) crusades against TV programmes, Enid Blyton books, household ornamnets, the English language etc.
  12. I got banned as dressing up as Stalin so I'm going as Nestor Makhno (apparently he's okay because he didn't kill as many people).
  13. The fake Steve Gad. He's completely out of time with the backing track now, Ed Mann will pull him up later on. In the fourth world, where things are really tough...
  14. I'm not a big fan of their stuff, but I thought they sounded like they'd be a good band to see live. I know a few folk who have seen them before and rated them.
  15. I'm pissed off. I'm a Killie supporter, but like most football fans in the country, I'd be happy to see anyone taking the league off the Glasgow bigots. I just hope it doesn't bugger up Hearts' season.
  16. When I saw Rush last year, Neil Peart made a howler of a mistake right at the start of the great. Even people that good fuck up, brilliance.
  17. That's quite interesting. I got one a few years back and never bothered using it after about three days. Just put it in the drawer with the recorder, juice harp, kazoo and harmonica.
