  1. i spoke to bikini attoll, they drove all the way from london to edinbugh the night before to find their promotor hadn't let them know the edinburgh event was cancelled. they therfore were by their own admission feeling well flat performace & financially, before driving all the way back to London today. As far as I am concerned & those that were near the music, still a great band
  2. jesus school has finished early today......... this will be a superb night, bikini atolls - liars exit is magical, Archie Bronson were superb @ the lemon tree & the thought of seeing josh pearson live canna be true YES & i'll look out for the shady teenagers
  3. this is FAUST for the 1st time in Aberdeen & I believe their only Scottish date, all other events should be cancelled as a mark of esteem as they are not worthy..........

  5. hey Caribou has gradually been getting better & better live the three times ive seen them, soo much so i'm going to go & see them in their only other scottish date in Glasgow. Like chilli said look out for the support The Russian Futurists, i have their (his) 2nd release & its fantastic, really looking forward to seeing them live & getting me mitts on the new russian futurists cd. well done interesting music on this line up.
  6. excellent, i think i'll pop along to see how this all works out, nice too see people taking chances with something different & a free cd at the end of it. Never been to an event upstairs in the lemon tree, what like is the space & is it big, small, seated???

  8. i was @ that show earlier this year, the music/visual element is by far the most memorable i have seen. have never seen soo many happy people after a gig. fantastic

  14. ive read it elsewhere, but aberdeen audiences tend to support in numbers venues & artists that are generally bland or middle of the road, there is a definate herd or sheep gig going population that navel gazes. those of you putting on more cutting edge stuff will probably always struggle for numbers, but you should not give in to blandness, even though your market is people without a lot of money for gigs. perhaps you need to spend more time handing out flyers with information outside venues where similar style audience is in attendence?
