  1. We've got a Shark-branded one at Snafu you can have for free. Not sure where it came from but it's surplus to requirements and we could use the space! PM me.
  2. Sorry, I'm not into online arguments so no comeback forthcoming.
  3. If you had been to the club before making yourself look pointless on this forum, you would have known that this is one of the issues we've addressed with the new refurb. I very much doubt that picking up girls that look like Misha Barton is possible for you. If you are heading down, don't look like you're on a night out in Peterhead or you won't get in. Leave your tracksuit at home.
  4. I suppose posting at 6.30am after a night out seemed like a good idea at the time. Thanks for the comments. It''s good to know that our White Russian's are that good. I can give you the recipe - but then again, I don't want to look like I'm up my own ass.
  5. Refurb = stressful We'll definitely be open tomorrow night. There's been quite a bit done regarding bottlenecks and the bar, so the comfort level has increased considerably! Open to the public from 10pm tomorrow night.
  6. Yeah, tackling the bottleneck at the bar is job number one!
  7. The Dials The Dials fiery and energetic brand of rock n roll has seen them play to a sold-out show at Cabaret Voltaire, headline King Tuts and support bands such as The Fratellis, Boy Kill Boy, The Sunshine Underground and The Subways, gaining fans such as Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy) and XFMs Jim Gellatly. Support from Heat Thieves + Cook House Heroes Monday 22 September Door open at 9pm, first band onstage 9.30pm **Free passes from The Moorings // Retro Rebels // The Black Teeth** The Black Tooth Rock Lounge @ Snafu (www.myspace.com/blacktoothrock)
  8. There hasn't been any blatant misreporting but I think that not enough facts have been put in the public domain which has led to too many people jumping to the wrong conclusions.
  9. Arriving late to this thread but just to clear a few things up: - The stabbing did not happen at or near Snafu. I believe it started in the Tilted Wig and the actual incident happened outside Blackfriars. - One of our doormen is Polish and is not connected to this in any way either. - There was no queue outside the club. The comedy night had finished around 11.20pm and our doorman was downstairs helping to clear the club, so he never saw anything. - Anyone connected with the incident had not been in Snafu that evening. Basically, it's pretty annoying our name is even connected with this. The incident happened closer to Archie Simpsons yet they didn't warrant a mention. Typical poor grasp of facts from some of the reports kicking about. We've had phone calls to the office and some reporter on one of the forums asking for comments also. In short, since we didn't have a single bit of involvement in this incident, then "no comment".

  15. Yeah, that's the general idea. Another problem is that everyone times their arrival at the same time and this is causing door and bar problems, so we're working on ways to stagger people coming in. Thursday is the only night we have this problem on, there's never 200-250 people turning up at the same time on a Friday or Saturday.
  16. Nah, that rumour's completely false. We're not cutting out bands on Thursdays, we're just streamlining the amount we put on, to concentrate on continuing to build the club part of the night. There will still be live gigs on, maybe just a couple of times a month though.
  17. 8 is the advance ticket price only - it will be more on the door. If you head down for before 11.30pm, then you should be fine getting in. After that, can't make any guarantees.

  20. I know it's not helpful now, but for future, if you join the mailing list, then you'll be first in line for these events. Gigs like Erol Alkan are rarely advertised fully as they sell out on word of mouth alone. Fire an email off to mailinglist@clubsnafu.com.
  21. As much as we try and keep some for the door, these always end up going. Best I can offer is turn up for when the doors open at 9pm and see if there are any left. Sorry!
