4oD - Channel 4's TV and Film on Demand service You can get Premier League Poker, European WSOP tour on there and whole seasons of a couple of other poker programs. Found a 5 chip in my room so went past on the way to my mates to try and turn it in to 500, to no avail. Ended up putting it on 0, came in 26 which is next to 0. Got excited for a minute.

Really though, these have to be three of the worst bands in existence. I get so annoyed when I hear them, I can't explain it. Their music is insulting.

What would rather do? Live in an empty room for the rest of your life listening to these three bands on repeat or gouge your own heart out with a rusty spoon... Rusty spoon everytime.

All the staff in my workshop were taken in to a meeting today and told that the music licence folk had been pestering us since October enquiring about our set up. As a result of their enquiries all radios/ipod speakers/cd players have had to be removed from the workshop. Apparently it is regarded as a public place and we do not have a licence to play music. If you buy a licence it only counts for one radio and I assume they are pretty expensive seeing as it's The Wood Group I work for and my workshop alone is turning over millions of pounds a year so if they were reasonably enough priced they'd get bought. Maybe they're just being tight cunts. Just found the website now, going to look into a bit more but I thought the whole thing was pretty stupid/annoying. Welcome to PRS for Music

From Mixmag.com Noise restraint petition' email is out of date and should be ignored We've had lots of clubbers sending us an email asking us to sign a petition about new noise restrictions it claims the government are planning on imposing on music venues. There are no such plans. This petition was originally set up a year ago and the new legislation never came to light. It followed a story Mixmag ran in Nov 2007 which clearly stated the legislation could not force clubs to lower their sound levels - just make adequate measures to protect staff's hearing, ie giving out earplugs.
