  1. Any tips on a) getting her to not get into the begging habit, b) teething - she is trying to bite everything atm and we're rewarding her for chewing her toys and stopping her from biting humans and other stuff but wondering if there's any clever ways to do this.

We found the key to our dogs behaviour is in the feeding habits. If you only feed them after you have completely finished eating this shows them that you are the pack leader, we had a completely different dog after 1 day of this, it was amazing! Once the dog knows its place in the pack order training is so much easier.

  2. Are R'n'B or II open tomorrow?

Does either have an amp tech I can talk to? I keep getting electrocuted by a tube preamp pedal I just bought.

    xx

If it fails but doesn’t "fail safe" then I'm pretty sure that item is not complying with some electrical appliance standards, did you buy it second hand from the someone in the 1970's or something?

  3. Its not even like your normal feedback you'd hear from a Mic, its a deep grumbling howl that it gives off almost like the speakers can't hack it.

do you have a spring reverb unit in you amp? I've had one fail and it would cause feedback that starts as a really low frequency rumble that gets louder and louder before turning into a more normal weeeeeeeeeee'ing feedback sound.

  4. Have you got a capri or a series 3? My old man used to have a series 3 and i've got lots of great memories of it. My brother eventually inherited it as his first car and wrote off a mini and a fiesta with it (in two separate occasions, landy unharmed) before destroying the gearbox with his amateurish gear changes.

How on earth do you post pictures from you hard drive on this forum???

Series 3 lawnrover with an essex v6, 4 speed gearbox with overdrive and discovery diff's, military spec front and rear axles... beastin though its not seen a road for years as its in hunners of bits.

I ran another landrover a few years ago, it had a 3.3L perkins tractor engine. I did my B+E test in it, the instuctor told me it was the second most shite vehicle he had ever been in! It is really easy to wreck the gearboxes, the early ones have no syncromesh on 1st and 2nd, this one would only go into 1st if you slipped the clutch or were coasting slowly.

  5. How'd I miss this thread! I used to sit next to Adam in what was possibly a French class in second year. It was individual desks Adam was 1 row from the back and 3 desks in from the right, I was 1 row from the back and 2 desks in. Approximately coordinates: latitude +57 deg 28'31" longitude -2deg 37'90".

Years later I bought a Peavey 4x10 bass cab from him.

  6. Winter tyres: where is most cost effective to buy and have them fitted?

I'm looking at over £600 for a full set from Kwik-Fit according to their website! That surely can't be right.

You'd be looking at top brand tyres there. For some perspective a brand named 4x4 All Terrain tyre is about £120 quid, I paid about ~800 for 4 new tyres AND new steel wheels all fitted at Tawes Tyres. Those tyres are for all year round use though, on and off road. £600 for some tyres that might get used for 6months at the most is a lot IMO.
