I was looking to form a band with a keyboard player. If you want a listen to the sort of stuff we'll be doing: Music listen to Beauty and Creation which both have keyboard parts. I'm no key board player so you'll probably find the parts a little odd and by your standards very easy to play, but different is good isn't it? See what you think

I might be up for it. I'm also a guitarist and have had similar problems with bands in the past, ie. I do all the writing, recording and so forth while they sleep or get pissed. Got some song ideas here that you can have a listen to: Demos / Ideas see what you think.

My last post got some good responses, but I had said it was to be a side project for me. I want to take that back. I want to go ahead with this as my no.1 priority. To all those who replied and haven't gotten back to me, please do ASAP. I'm gonna try organise something for January. And are there any Keyboard players out there? I've been playing around a little with keys and would quite like a player in the band. And just to stress, everyone is welcome to write material and make suggestions. It's not just gonna be a one man show, the more input and influences, the better. I just want to get gigging again. I'm not looking for Joe Satrianis or Steve Harris's, just some folk to jam with.

How can you pack so much ignorance and prejudice into one post is beyond me. I'm not a massive Manics fan, I think they are ok, bordering on good, but nothing special. That doesn't mean I'm an idiot. Different influences keep a band varied. And what the hell are you on about? "The music is secondary" ? Having meaning to your lyrics and a message behind what you are doing is important, but by no means does it take presidence over the music. It's called music ffs, not message! Do you go into shops looking for a new CD in the "message" section? Brighten up your ideas mate. And don't bother with a smart assed reply or PM because I wont read it.

Hey Kerry, I am currently putting a band together, and we might be needing a new singer. We plan to play a mix of things really. We don't want to limit ourselves. Hey guys, any advice on how to get: 1) a good Hard Rock tone (GN'R / BuckCherry etc)

2) a good Heavy Metal sound (Megadeth etc) and 3) a good Lead sound (Helloween / Maiden etc)

Just looking for a guide as to where to set the: Channel, Gain, Presence, Bass, Mid, Treble & Reverb. Thanks

Cheek man! We have Classic Rock, Heavy Metal, Punk , Folk, Country, Gothic, Classical and everything inbetween? So what the hell is your idea of diverse? Honestly. And please no more smart ass replies from anyone. Only if you have some info for me or want to comment on any of the music.
