  3. B.C. Rich NJ Mockingbird (Black)

Hi there, I bought this on a whim the other week, and basically I can't afford to keep it. I bought this new for 400 and am looking to get back between 300 - 340 (cash) for it. It has been played about 3 times since it's purchase and is still in good nick (as you'd expect). If anyone would like to see it / try it I can meet them in town. I am advertising here first, but if there are no takers in the next couple of weeks,I'll be putting it on ebay (I'll post the link). Thanks, Andy

  4. I might be interested. I'm a guitarist, but can play bass. I can't keep up with flea and what not, but I can knock out a decent rhythm. I'd need to get my hands on a bass as well which might mean saving for one (shouldn't take too long though). I'll be working over the summer but most nights should be free for practices.

    ~Andy

  5. you guys may be interested in something I'm trying to start up. Myself and another guitarist are trying to get a band together and we share a few influences (Velvet Revolver, Led Zepplin, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Guns N' Roses) on your list. if you guys are able to make it to a jam next wednesday that'd be great? just a thought, have a think about it and get back to me. (we have a free practice area with pearl drumkit)

    ~Andy

  6. Hey, I might be up for this. I have a lot of influences and would be willing to play pretty much anything. I play Guitar and can play some bass. My bass isn't amazing, but I can hold down a solid rhythm and play some decent bass riffs. I also write a lot of music, various styles if you want a sample check my artist profile: Demos Don't be put off by some of the heavier stuff, I also write a lot of mellow and acoustic material.

If interested drop me a line: 07906319557

    Cheers, Andy

  7. Guitarist, 18, looking for musicians to form or join a band. Have a lot of original material and equipment for gigging. (Marshall AVT100 combo, Ibanez SZQM520) Can practise pretty much any night of the week at the moment, and anytime Saturdays and Sundays. Will play pretty much anything to get started.

    Cheers , Andy

  8. Hey guys, I've decided I want to re-form an old band of mine "Black Rabbit". I've been trying to get something together for ages but can never seem to find other musicians who "jam", ie sit down and play music till we have something original that sounds nice. I play Guitar (Electric & Acoustic) and a little Keyboards and Bass. I want to do a variety of music. I write a lot of music and have 80% of the music completed for 5 or 6 song ideas and about 20 other ideas for intros etc. My music varies from heavy riffing, to slow ballady tunes, to good old fashioned Rock N' Roll, to Power Metal, to Acoustic and some Medievil and Classical-ish, and whatever else in between.

I'm looking for another Guitarist, a Bassist, Drummer, Vocalist and Keys. (Keys isn't essential but would be nice)

(Looking for ages 17+ , and persons able to practise at least twice a week)

P.S. I stay up at Hillhead, so anyone who want to just come up for a jam can. We have a music room with decent Drumkit and I have 3 Guitars and 2 Amps

    ~Cheers Andy :band:

  9. Could YouthGoneWild not play bass?

I could do a bit of both. If the other guitarist interested was willing to do a switch around every so many songs, then I wouldn't mind that. If not I guess I could play bass, as long as I'm involved in the song writing.

  10. I might be interested. I'm not sure what exactly you're after, but I do like a little blues and write some bluesy rock stuff. Could always jam and see what happens

  11. we play stuff similar to pj harvey' date='the cure, kinda dirty pop sound,we like every type of music...except metal! we also try to sound bit like grandaddy, sioxsie and the banshees (shit spelt that wrong i think)hee hee..just pretty much everything so tell me what ya think! if its not yer cuppa tea then get back to me anyway..theres loads more bands i could list but i dont know what your into...what kinda stuff do you like?

    cheers

    lucyx[/quote']

Only problem with that is, do you have any idea of how many different branches of "Metal" there are? Many of them hardly sound anything alike. A lot of people stereotype Metal as super heavy dissonant chord sequences and lots of shouting and growling, when in fact a lot of it is very musicial. I'm not starting an arguement or getting wound up, just trying to broaden everyone's outlook.

  12. Hey man sounds good, I'm a guitarist, 18 and have been trying to get something of a similar vain together for some time! I have some demos (if you want a sample of what I'm about) here: Demos

"Heavy Metal Vibe" and "Beauty" are a good place to start.

My influences include: ACDC, Aerosmith, Bruce Dickinson, Iron Maiden, Helloween, Megadeth, GN'R, L.A. Guns, Poison, Motley Crue, WASP, Hanoi Rocks, Alice Cooper, Faster Pussycat, Skid Row, Slash's snakepit, Velvet Revolver, The Cult, Buckcherry, Gamma Ray, Hammerfall, Dire Straights, Brides of Destruction, Masterplan, Ugly Kid Joe, Marty Friedman, Stone Temple Pilots, Loaded, Oasis, Buckethead, Alanis Morrisette, Buddy Holly, Bowling for Soup, Greenday, Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Dio, Pink Floyd, The Darkness, ASAP, Joe Satriani, Jason Becker, Steve Vai, Steve Morse, Rachmaninov, Maksim Mrvica, Paul Mounsey, Enya, The Monkees, Andy Timmons, Ugly Kid Joe, Velvet Revolver..... and others which I can't remember at this time.

I can play pretty solid Rhythm Guitar work, and a little lead guitar. I can do some lead melodies and whack out the occassional pentatonic scale with pinch harmonics, but am no Dave Murray or Joe Satriani.

    ~Andy

  13. Hey there, like the other guys here have said, I'm no Slash or Jimmy Page, but I can do a bit of lead work, lead licks and whack out the odd pentatonic scale here and there. I write a lot of material which might suit the band: Demos see what you think. I'm able to jam any night of the week at the moment and all day on wednesday, saturday and sunday. Drop me a line if you're interested.

    ~Andy
