  1. Its fucking shit. Metallcia did a better one with the symphony. I had the mp3 ages ago.

Also' date=' look for Code 13 - Paean

half way through the song they burst into it and it sounds alot cooler/heavier than that shit attempt.[/quote']

that's being a little harsh... it's not that bad, all the chord changes and the melody are played spot on, but I suppose, who would have guessed that a professional band with a symphony orchestra would outdo some average joe with a multi track....

  2. Hmm, I'm a little disappointed. I really like the midi compositions you have, but these mp3s just aren't as good. They are by no means awful, and considering they were done in one take not half bad! But I felt the (like others have said before me) the vocals were very weak. The music itself was a little weak as well, you have some nice riffs here and there but I didn't feel it really flowed. But you probably realise all this with it being a demo, a rough sketch. If you iron out a few creases and nail some tighter recordings with stronger vocals and arrangements, I think you guys could be on to something! That's my honest opinion on the material. All in all, good, but needs a little work.

  3. You guys are expecting the wrong things from this film. The film is intended to be a hammed up, cheesy, cliched fest of science fiction! It's (for the most part) light hearted entertainment. It's not intended to be a deeply moving love story, or pollitically poignant. I thoroughly enjoyed the film and will be going to see it again as soon as I can afford it (skint)! As for the comment about adults being sucked into a childrens' market, aren't us "adults" alowed to let out hair down and have a little fun now and then?

  4. Hey guys, it's another sprawl of crap from me again.... Anyways, over the summer I would like to get something going (those of you whose bands I've contacted - I'm still interested there, this is something on the side). Basically I'm looking for some musicians who can come jam sometime and see what we come up with. When I say this, I mean I'm looking for a bit of spontenuity. I've played with a few people over the past few months, and while they've been excellent players, none of them can just sit down and let it flow.

So here's the deal: If you have some spare time on your hands, you're able to bounce ideas back and forth and improvise to at least some degree then drop me a line. I'm not looking for huge commitment, just some jams and see where go from there.

I play guitar, so ideally would be looking for another guitarist or a bassist to get the ball rolling (possibly a keyboardist). Reply here, PM me or TXT (07906319557) Cheers, Andy

P.S. Your Influences aren't important, as variation in musical taste will lead to variation in the music we come up with :D

  5. It's a speed-loader and it was from Bruce Millers. I think this is the same guitar (but only not plain black): Guitar Also, I'm willing to take the price down if anyone has anything to trade?

p.s. this was worth more in it's hey-day, I got it for 400 because B.C. Rich have recently replaced it with an updated NJ Mockingbird without tuning pegs.

  6. John Petrucci - Dream Theater

Mike Ammott - Arch Enemy/Spiritual Beggars

    Marty Friedman - Ex-Megadeth

Nice one Dan! Marty is my all time favourite player! You heard any Cacophony or Solo?

    Mine:

    1) Marty Friedman (ex-Megadeth, ex-Cacophony, Solo Artist) - Musical genius, the greatest Guitarist to ever grace this planet (IMHO)

    2) Slash (ex-Guns N' Roses, ex-Slash's Snakepit, Velvet Revolver) - dare I say the best Rock soloist of our times?

    3) Michael Weikath (Helloween) - Awesome musician, solid Guitarist

    That's my 3

  7. Hey man, I think I fit what you're looking for, on lead guitar. I can play the odd solo and can knock out some decent lead work. I write lots of material, lots of different styles and I think I'd be up for this. Think we can get a Jam sorted? I'm at Uni at Aberdeen, and am staying here over summer so basically will be here all year round. I'm 18 btw.

P.S. If we could get something sorted out for summer that'd be awesome as I've been dying to gig since I got here.

    ~Andy

  8. Hmm well I love Iron Maiden and Helloween. I wouldn't mind giving this a blast, when you free for a jam? But first I need to ask: when you jam, do you bounce ideas back and forth, or do you learn covers to play? I need someone who can bounce ideas.

    ~Andy

  9. hey guys need some help here, I was pissing around earlier and came up with this little riff. I really like the little bugger but can't help thinking it sounds similar to something I've heard before, can anyone help?

    Riff

    Thanks, Andy

  10. Since when was politely offering advice to (fairly) new members condescending?

If it offends him then I'm sorry. I meant no offence.

the elipses and the tone of your statement suggested otherwise, now be a good little boy and only delve into matters which concern you. Now off to bed you little scamp, you don't want to be late for school :D

  11. Eeerrrm' date=' sorry to be picky, but I think you might be a little confused with the "bands" part of the profile, Mr. Shand. Or maybe I'm missing something....[/quote']

erm... calum I think you may be a little confused, this is an area for posting replies to advertisements of a musical endeavour, not an area to be a condescending little smart ass....
