  1. I'd say they were important, but not essential. You can still whack out a good song with just meaty riffage. But lead guitar is that sweet sweet icing on an already tasty cake! I'll put it this way, I'd much rather have it, than not!

  2. Ok, who went??? What a fuckin' ace gig!!! I was really impressed, and I had high expectations! The opening band Power Quest were really good too! I managed to nab an autograph from Markus Grosskopf, he got high jacked in the lobby about an hour after the show by some kids! We were waiting for a taxi outside and caught a glimpse of this mass of curly hair signing tickets, and were like "Charge!!!!". Was very impressed with Sascha's Guitar playing as well! I think he proved on the night, that he's not just a run of the mill shred / wank miester.

  4. i didnt know they had staffing problems' date=' i thought people would be falling over themselves to work in a music shop talking gear all day, I know I would.[/quote']

I asked them for a job not so long ago... and they said no! But you have to look on it that, as a small shop, they probably don't make enough turnover for the extra staff.

  5. I went down on monday and it had a sign on the door saying they were closed due to electrical failure. The other day I spoke to the bloke who owns Solid Gold Games, he said that the owner had been ill, and that's why it had been shut for the week so I'm not sure? I bloody hope it ain't shut for good though! I bought a dodgy guitar from them not so long ago that needs returning!!! o_O

  6. Hey, I'm currently looking into getting one of these. At the moment I have the 520 model and love it. I was supposed to be getting the SZ 2020 prestige model, but it looks like I can afford for a little time yet. I was wondering if anyone on here has played the 720? Does anyone know how it compares to the 520 & 2020? I need an axe asap, and the 720 looks like it fits the bill price wise. Just wanted some 2nd opinions. Also does anyone know any good sites where I could get it on the cheap? Cheers

  7. Hi, the Glam band has got off to a good start, but our Drummer has had to call it quits due to: time / money / health issues. At the moment we have:

    Mel - Vocals

    Andy - Guitars

    Johnny L - Bass

We have a Lead Guitarist in the pipeline, which, suprise suprise, leaves us short of a Drummer. So anyone interested in playing music in the vain of Motley Crue / Guns N' Roses / Kiss - give us a shout! We'll be playing both originals and covers.

    Cheers, Andy xx

  8. Model: Yamaha RGX520FZ (complete with official Yamaha hardcase)

I bought this little gem about a week past, and am selling as I probably shouldn't have bought it in the first place, as I am now severely skint again, doh! I bought this for 399 complete with a Yamaha official hardcase. Both (as you'd expect) are in mint condition, so you'll be snapping up a really nice piece of kit for a ridiculously low low low 320! Leave reply or PM me.

  9. Anyone else interested? I've been jamming with some of you who have replied thus far, but I'd like to jam with as many people as possible to get the best line-up possible together. Mainly interested in Guitarists just now.
