Am game like' date=' just finished with a band that worked to hard ( and yes there is such a disease as wanting it too much I reckon)[/quote']
This is very very true. I quit my last band (Peep Show) because it was all work and no play. A band has to have an element of fun (sorry for the thread jack). But on-topic-ish: I've jammed with this Neil character and I'd recommend you give him a whirl. The guy's a decent player and can write a tune for himself

awesome' date=' they're in good nick. want the van halen vinyls too? [/quote']
Nah, just the ACDC CDs will do nicely Shauny boy. Where and when can I collect / purchase the said items?
Andy

I'll take the ACDC ones if they're in good nick. And I def have the cash this time

You're all forgetting: Silvertide - Show & Tell!

I am quite impressed. Where about did you record it? Also suggest the keyboard being louder in the mix and is there bass? I can't hear it.
From what Doc told me, it was recorded in Doc's mini DIY studio.
-
Doc let me hear this one not so long ago! The band certainly have come on leaps and bounds! I've always thought you guys had the potential, you just never quite found the right canvas til now. Good work, and I'll be sure to check in on a gig at some point!

I just finished the lyrics to my first full song for the new Glam band (Trash Etiquette) with my friend Tommy! It was inspired by the Vin Deisel movie with the drug baron of the same name in it! Am well pleased with how they turned out (ie, big fuck off cheesy glam rock anthem!) tell me what ya think!
(MacTaggart / Sprague)
HOLLYWOOD JACK
Intro
Verse 1
Born on the back streets, raised amongst the trash
Dealin' white pleasure for his thrills and cash
Ain't got much money, but the man got style
Bring him the green, he'll make it worth your while
He don't live by the rules, he lives by his own
Wheelin', stealin, dealin' on his crystal white throne
Chorus
Hollywood Jack is back in town
Dirty Deals a dozen, laid the law down
Hollywood Jack's knockin' at your door
Hit that shit up, till you hit the floor
Hollywood Jack! ...... "Hollywood Jack!"
Verse 2
Losin'your mind, losin' what's real
Hook Jack up for a real sweet deal
It ain't just business, it's a family trade
Coke for cash, it's how he gets paid
Never sell him out, run him in with the law
He's the fastest to the tigger, quickest one to draw
Chorus
Hollywood Jack is back in town
Dirty Deals a dozen, laid the law down
Hollywood Jack's knockin' at your door
Hit that shit up, till you hit the floor
Hollywood Jack! ...... "Hollywood Jack!"

If you feel like going up the Ibanez road' date=' I'd recommend the SZ series. Nick from Iomega wields one, and it sounds pretty sweet on clean and on burn. Also, Dave from Crashdown borrowed it for a gig, and had no problem getting his usual Les Paul tone out of it. -> ([url']http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/options.php?id=8463)
Couldn't agree more! I'm not a massive fan of Ibanez's "Shred Guitars", but the SZ is very much a classic feeling Guitar, and can cover everything from Jazz through to Metal. Even the cheaper models (around 300?) are solid, very playable and sound good.
The Ibanez is a nice guitar' date=' played one of them and for the money, I think its a brilliant guitar. There are more expensive models of that guitar if i remember correctly?[/quote']Yep! Quite correct! Personally I own the SZ 520QM (RRP 399.00) & the Prestige SZ 2020FM (RRP 899.00) Both are amazing axes, but obviously the Prestige model is the better of the two.
Best Current Models: SZ 520QM (399.00) , SZ 720FM (499.00) , Prestige SZ 4020FM (899.00)

That was some pretty awesome riffage! Really liking it!

Song 1 is so so, not bad, but didn't grab me. Song 2, however, I really liked. It was really trippy and had some really nice melodies and chord structures. Good work. If you stick anything else up, I'll give it a spin too!

Knockin my solo's?
Put your cards on the table and we'll see where we each stand on solo's.
Ive got some shit of me recorded giving it tits' date=' i'll post that shit if need be.
Theres things as bass chords, they can do all the accompanying parts and more.[/quote']
Nit. 2 Guitars > 1 Guitar. All the way, no question

Hmm.... It'd probably have to be L.A. Guns! I fickin' love them! First band I saw live, still the best gig I've been to!
Also, special mentions to: Buckcherry, Helloween, Guns N' Roses, Crashdiet (all of whom are fuckin' ace, and not too far behind Guns at a')

.........is the title of the new Spike Pile Driver CDr' date=' a split this time with Croatia's Diabolic Emo Destroyer, who absolutely fucking kill. Think old-school AC, 7MON, Deche-charge and you're about there. They do 2 5-6 minute sessions, we have 11 songs in 5-6 minutes. A relatively short release, so we'll call it 2 quid. I should have copies to take to the Bolz'n gig on Saturday if anyone would like a copy.
This post is for information only.[/quote']
Eh.. I'm confused, do you mean you have a CD with 11 tracks that are aprox 30 seconds a piece? o_O

One of my bands currently needs a Singer & Drummer to complete the line-up. We'll be playing Bluesy Rock covers and originals. If interested, reply here or PM.
Cheers, Andy

Well ok I take that back about the pop punk and emo cos I'm normally pretty hammered and don't really know what's being played except that it's not really what I would listen to ... but seriously' date=' what is Moshulu like?[/quote']
Moshulu I find a much better night out. The music is largely Metalcore sort of stuff (with the exception of saturdays' Air Guitar Night - Yasss!!!!), which am nae really into, but they play some mellower stuff in the back and have nights for the genres Dave mentioned. I just find it a much better club. Much more breathing space, and the option to just chill out in the back, if you're nae feelin up to rockin' out front.

Yamaha RGX520FZ
I'm currently selling the Yamaha for 260 ONO. I bought it for 399 (complete with official hard case) from Prosound, with the intention to have it set up to my preference. The action is set at around medium, and I don't think there is room for much more tweaking. I prefer a more medium / low action, hence reason for sale. The Guitar is in absolute mint, as it has only been played 5 or 6 times.
Ibanez SZ520FM (upgraded Seymour Duncan pick-up)
The Ibanez I'm not sure if I'm selling yet. Just want to get a feel for interest before I decide? It's 2 years old, has a small chip near the input jack, but other than that, is in very good nick. It has had the bridge pick-up, upgraded to a Seymour Duncan JB, which IMO suits the guitar nicely, as this pick-up compliments the mahogany body / quilted maple top. Reason I'm thinking of selling is: I've recently bought the SZ2020 Prestige & the SZ720 models, so this little guy just isn't getting played as often as before - I'd rather see it put to use than collecting dust, as it's a lovely wee axe. Asking price for this one I'm going to put around 260 as well. The normal RRP is 399 and I think you can get them as low as 320 online, but bear in mind the 80 pick-up upgrade.

Well, I gave it a listen. I have to admit it was a little more interesting than the previous two offerings, but still didn't quite grab me. Volpone, I'd say was definately the winning formula for you lot. That sort of song style worked well with JJ's vocals.

Hey, for anyone who's interested, the Glam band now has a name, a full line-up & just about 5 songs done! The band is pretty much decided on "Trash Etiquette" for the name.
Trash Etiquette are:
Mel (HardcoreMel) - Vocals
Andy (YouthGoneWild) - Guitars
Scott (Sl4sh) - Guitars
Chris (JohnnyLucifer) - Bass / Vocals
Iain - Drums
Hopefully we'll have something for you all to hear soon.

Well done for getting this band going Andy. Hope to hear it soon:up:
PS. How is Peep Show going?
Cheers muchly man. Unfortunately I quit Peep Show a month or so ago. Travel was getting too much, and more so, I just didn't see eye to eye with the singer. But I have this band and another on the go, so no regrets! Hopefully will get a rough demo up soon, so you can get a blast with what we'll be all about.
