  1. I went' date=' I was embarressed for Dee Snieder, how often did he have to say "fuck", it was quite sad, and as for ALice Cooper, the show was pretty much song for song ( with the exception of some new stuff) the same as the 2001 tour. The sound was really quite poor, and as for a seated gig, wrong choice.[/quote']

Na! Dee wis ace min! The sound IMHO was ACE! And yeah seated was a bad idea, but it still didn't ruin it for me, I still loved every minute!!! :D

  2. Fuck' date=' the One video, I knew i'd seen one being used somewhere...

Maiden count though in terms of being metal :p

To be honest, my impresion is that you can use any guitar for anything as long as you have the style and ability to pull it off. With the advances in technology, you can probably make any guitar sound like any other if you wanted anyway...[/quote']

Is it in a nutshell really. But in general certain guitars carry a reputation for excellence in various niches. But really it's down to what works for you. I love ballsy rock n' roll, but Les Pauls just don't do it for me, my Ibanez suits me better.

  3. Personally I rate ESPs a lot higher than Ibanez' date=' especially at the moment. Look at their list of artists. They're by far the most popular metal guitars just now. They even persuaded Mustaine to make the switch from Jackson.

I like Ibanez guitars as well but you should definitely consider ESP as well.

Oh and I own a 250 Ibanez and while it's nice, it still has the quality and sound of a 250 guitar. Money can't buy you love but it'll get you a much better guitar.[/quote']

I like ESP. I've tried out a few that I really like. I guess I just really like the SZ series Ibanez that I have. It's just perfect for what I need from a guitar. Anything from blues, to ballsy rock, to heavy metal, and I've never encountered another guitar which suits me any better. :D

  4. My point was that Strats' date=' in particular Strat Pluses, are uniquely versatile. A 250 Ibanez makes me sick. The necks on those things are disgusting, they give me constipation, especially at the beginner level you are talking about (and playing at, no doubt) they will cause you years of floyd rose grief and failed sales attempts.

My Strat is an extension of my body when I play it. The Ibanez 'speed playing' thing is bullshit, and you bought it and still believe it. Like a sucker, a stupid mug.

Guitar playing doesn't get much better than this!

    And heres mine

But he's not looking for versatility, he's looking for a "shred guitar" , and Ibanez quite frankly come out top. Look at almost any famous shredder, and you'll find that Ibanez is their choice of axe. I personally hate strats. Weak tone, and I don't know where you're getting versatile from....

  5. I have to buy this. For some reason I love Pink Bubbles go Ape :O

You most certainly do need to buy this my good man! I have to say I'm very impressed. I am biased though. Unlike most die hard Weenies, I much prefer Deris era' over Kiske. But for me I thought nothing could touch "Better Than Raw" or "The Dark Ride", so far I'm going to go as far as to say "The Legacy" equals them, give me till tomorrow and I think it may come out top :D

P.S. PBGA wasn't a bad album, just not on par with other stuff they did. Kids Of The Century is a beast of a song!
