  1. The Dark ride was a good album but just didn't hit me the same way as keepers pt 2

I love Keepers II, but for me, that's the only Kiske era' album that matches up to the Deris era' material. I dunno why everyone pines for Kiske to come back so much..... And I think Michael Weikath did so much more for the band than Kai Hansen, dunno why people pine for him either?

  2. What was the name of the duck puppet thing he presented tv with?? And remember Gordon The Gopher?

Ed the Duck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Yeah my wee bro has a GG puppet still!!! It's well ace :D

And Camie, Andy Peters was, and still is a fuckin legend! Many fond memories. Spent many a saturday morning watching Andy and has puppet side kicks present a host of ace toons!

  3. And why would piggy banks offend Muslims? (Is that really obvious and I'm just being stupid?) And.... and........ Ooooh' date=' so much more to say/rant but i shall finish this now and take a few deep breaths. In...... and out........ In...... and out...[/quote']

I think it's something to do with pigs being considered dirty and unclean in the muslim community. Same idea as with Jews I think, they consider them bad and don't eat them etc etc.

  4. the thing is though that what you're ranting about doesn't happen. the only thing i can find is from 5 years ago where one council suggested that baa baa black sheep was offensive but the ban never went through. i can't find anything about piggy banks(nor can i work out why they should be banned). so from what i can gather you're getting worked up about 1 solitary incident from 5 years ago that never actually went through.

edit: in fact it wasn't even a whole council' date=' it was one nursery inspector suggested that it would be advisable to stop teaching it but he was over ruled.[/quote']

The Xmas card one was kicking around a year or so ago, the piggy bank thing was something I heard recently, and the sheep one a while back. Whether they went through or not, my point is thus: it's morons walking about making claims like that, that are a big part of the problem. Everyone should treat one another as equals ie, not be extra nice to other races so not to appear racist, as well as not being abusive. And yes to the post after, political correctness is way OTT sometimes!

  5. Climbed in a friends' flat window. Nicked their kettle, toaster & iron, and threw them in a river..... Didn't remember till the following morning. Was just eating some cereal when I went OHHH SHITTTT!!! Ran out and bought them new stuff, cost me 30 bucks! That was an expensive night out.....

  6. One thing that REALLY annoys me on the whole racist issue, are these fucking morons who are banning Piggy Banks, so as not to offend certain races, or banning childrens' nursery rhymes such as a Ba Ba Black Sheep! That in itself is racist! By doing this you are treating these people differently on the grounds of the race / religion. There is not need for this kind of crap! When these people come to our country, they are quite aware that they will need to adapt to an extent, which is fair enough. When they were thinking of banning xmas cards in some offices as not to offend Muslims, it was the Muslims themselves that came forward to say that it was ridiculous - which it is! Doing this is only giving people more ammuntion to discriminate and hate.

  9. you know despite everything' date=' i think this was one of the better threads on here discussion wise recently. i mean it never really descended into the usual lame banter that contentious threads on here tend to do and everyone pretty much behaved themselves and put their points across properly, even when it was just "stop being so pc". which is a good thing.[/quote']

    Well said that man.

  10. The same tired' date=' old cliches abound.

    "Lighten up"

    "Don't be so PC"

Daveofficer wins this one by a fucking mile.[/quote']

Nobody wins anything. This isn't a competition, but a collection of view and opinions on a highly controversial matter.....

  11. Hmm, had never been on a wednesday till last night. Have to say, reasonably impressed! Not quite as awesome as air guitar night at moshulu, but nae bad at a'! Played some awesome tunes! Van Halen - Why can't this be love? , Kiss - Crazy Nights, The Cult - She sells sanctuary! Had a pretty decent time air guitaring away, while my other two friends Lee and Chris perved on all the talent, haha!

  12. I have recently come to the conclusion, after listening to excess AC/DC, that Angus young is a bloody genius! I think he has to be one of the most stylish and under-rated lead guitarists out there! I think he has to fit into my top 3 all-time favourite guitarists (out of a list of about 50+ heh)! Just though I'd say that. :D

Who agrees / disagrees / why?

  13. I got it the day it came out... I quite like it' date=' but unlike you I really really enjoyed 'The Eyes of Alice Cooper' and this one in my opinion doesn't match the high standard set by that album... Also, I wasn't particularly keen on 'Brutal Planet' or 'Dragontown'. However I did see him on both those tours and verily he did rocketh [/quote']

Got lend of the album. I actually really like it! I think it's one of his best. It persuaded me to give "Eyes of Alice Cooper" another chance. I picked it up on ebay for a fiver, listenin to it the now! It's a actually nae a bad album at all! It's has a couple of clunkers, but there are good few ace tracks as well, especially the first track! :D
