There isn't as far as I'm aware. You're fine unless you're causing a nuisance. I undrstand some people think they are but there's plenty of police around on a fri/sat night that could make an assessment of the situation.

So in the grand scheme of things there's not that many really. Still doesn't beat bands called The *insert word here*

Katerwaul were phenomenal last night. First time I'd actually seen them live and they blew me away. Best Aberdeen band I've seen in a good while. Thanks for playing guys! Thanks to all other bands to. Scream! Shout! Say Nothing really surprised a few last night I think.

Less than a week til this one

The one thing I'll always love Aberdeen for is the fact that within a 20 minute drive you can be in the countryside or by the sea.

Why would I do that?

You could improve Aberdeen by relocating it to the central belt... In all seriousness though Aberdeen's not the worst but it'll never be the best. Stewart Milne homes at Kepplestone does not class as re-development to me. You only need to look at the structures that are being built along the Clyde at reasonable* prices. Everything within Aberdeen is connected to the oil industry and when the finite resource eventually dries up then the city is fooked! We need new generation companies creating employment not another helicopter firm or recruitment place that's sole purpose is to pile more people onto rigs in the North Sea or other world destinations. Aberdeen is slowly being monopolised by everything within that chosen sector e.g. how many Asda's or Tesco's does one city need?! You could say I have a good job here but I don't. I have a well payed job and there's a big difference between the two. I'm moving away soon and I do hope I want to return to the city some day as I have many fond memories here but the place has become stale to me. If I go out in town, it's the same places, same faces...I need a break to appreciate the place again. * Average price being about 100k for a 2 bed flat new build, 15 minutes from the town centre

Maybe...bottom line is you don't argue with bouncers cos it makes life 10 times more difficult. When the old Aberdeen Union used to be open I got refused from there for being too drunk when I was completely sober. I finshed work at 10, was at the place by 10:15 and got refused. I was told to go get a bag of chips have a wander around for 20 minutes, come back and they might let me in. Went up to RGUnion, played Virtua Striker went back and got allowed in with a happy birthday to boot since it was the day after my 18th. Pricks!

I used to work in a bar and got on with the bouncers really well and asked them about the whole pickin on people thing and they agreed with it. They said they get bored and do it for a laugh. It might be someone's hair, shoes, jeans or socks but they would just refuse the guy and use the age old "we don't have to give a reason, you're just not getting in tonight.maybe nother night though". So yes, it does happen. Not everyone does it but some do. I guess it passes the time...

As far as I'm aware Mark Ronson has been confirmed to support for a while now. Still a bit pricey to see this though so I won't be goin.
