  1. I don't know any of the members of your fears that well but I doubt it's a fashion or trend to them. From what I know or can perceive to know, they love what they do and will continue to do so whether it be a fad or not. Why else would they bother to travel up and down Britain playing shitty little venues, selling merch etc? Just to make a quick buck and cash in on a current trend? I doubt it cos I doubt they're making any money out of it at all. Everyone has their opinions about bands cos that's life but from what I can see, they'll continue to do what they do, fashion or no fashion.
  2. I have to tickets for sale BS. PM me please
  3. Apparently Free-Korps have been getting NME praise? Can someone clarify this?
  4. It's only good if people submit the gigs, but in general it'll keep you up-to-date with the bigger ones and most of the smaller ones to.
  5. My Minds Weapon headline Moshulu with support from some of Britain's best up and coming metal/hardcore bands. Romeo Must Die "A no frills metal attack with plenty of muscle" - Rocksound Blueprint To A Downfall In 2008 the band will record their debut album with Nick Scholey (My Minds Weapon, Flood of Red) with Dan Weller and Justin Hill of Sikth fame handling Mixing Duties, in March and April, with a view to a summer Release. Bleed From Within Hardcore death metal from Glasgow signed to Rising Records
  6. Lights. Action! are performing a headline tour in support of their mini album "All eyes to the morning sun" - KKK Supported the likes of Anberlin, Boy Kill Boy and Go:Audio. Support comes from think:Fire "Following 18 months of relentless gigging around the UK, which has seen the band share stages with heavyweights such as Funeral for a Friend, Say Anything, Fightstar, New Found Glory and The Used, think:Fire are set to release their debut EP Swings and Roundabouts in January. Swings... was produced by Romesh Dodangoda, known for his work with the likes of Funeral for a Friend, Kids in Glass Houses and Dopamine at his Cardiff based Long Wave Recording Studio. The EP is equally uplifting as it is broody and showcases the bands transformation since their incarnation just under two years ago. Youll find the epic soundscapes, soaring riffs and beautiful melodies, youll have come to expect from think:Fire on Swings..., as well as a guest vocal appearance from Kids In Glass Houses frontman Aled Phillips on They Shape Shift. As far as debut releases go, the EP is a crystal clear statement of the ambition and passion that fuels the quintet. " The Trade A refreshing outlook on Indie music from Dundee Free-Forps "Free-Korps are an unsigned band from Aberdeen formed in 2006. Drawing on influences such as The Cooper Temple Clause, The Chameleons and Puressence, Free-Korps play pounding electric music."
  7. That'll explain their sold out UK tour then o_O
  8. Yeah a basic front page (or even myspace page since it's free) would be nice. Best you get just now is google maps telling you where it's at.
  9. Did you not read the bit further up that says to stop talking about this now?!
  10. This has gone completely off topic! This is not a thread about the difference between cd's and mp3s. Record stores should never die and it'll be a sad state of affairs if it ever does.
  11. May I also ask a question of anyone who works in a record store. Why do cd's go up in price after they've fallen out of the charts before dropping say maybe a year later? I've often seen cd's be 10 or 12 when newly released but suddenly jump to 13-16 3 months later.
  12. I've never had such chat in One-Up. I've always heard about it but don't think it ever exists as I never see it. Maybe I just come in at the wrong time or buy cd's that are way uncool to be spoken about? Having said that, the 4 for 20 section is a gem and needs extending!
  13. I agree with the person above. I rarely buy singles unless it's coloured vinyl ltd ed. ones and they usually only cost 99p. I've never bought a digital album and I don't intend to unless it's absolutely necessary. Hard copies are the way I like it and I'll probably get round to buying more vinyl when I actually have a vinyl player to listen to it on haha! But in the mean time cd's will do for me
  14. Ex-Stamping Ground members feature in this new project. Signed to In At The Deep End Records. What's everyone's thoughts on them?
  15. Buy tickets from Ticket Web OR Seetickets OR One-Up 5 each Entry from 10pm-3am 18+ ONLY
  16. I didn't say it didn't have these type of nights...but in general businesses go for what's popular. Kef was a prime example of catering for different tastes and look what's happened to it!
