Anyone heard any tracks from scottish band El Presidente? - former members of GUN If so, are they any good? Cheers.

Best Scottish band in my opinion were GUN without a doubt... Heard some of El Presidente's new stuff - Thought it was OK....

I used to live in Canal Place and I remember the first time someone defaced the sign so it read 'anal lace' That was classic. Regarding the new sign for Canal St. It would be funny if somone changed it to simply read 'anal'

Hey folks, I am tryin to find out which effect Jason Newstead (from metallica) uses for part of his solo during the Live Shit: Binge and Purge DVD ive got. I think its some sort of Flanger effect but I could be wrong Any ideas? Thankee.....

I agree, I think its pretty hard to sit down and try and come up with a 'new' style of music, because 99% of the time, whatever you write will remind you of something youve heard already. I personally grew up listening to the likes of Metallica, GNR etc. Nowadays, I have a more varied range of tastes i.e. Fast food roc........erm........erm......
