Went out Friday night with a guy from work who I thought seemed like a stand up dude until a few pints in when he started tossing out racial slurs.
Another guy from work who I get on really well with started sharing pro-life posts on Facebook this evening.
Apparently I'm a poor judge of character.
I work with people who voted for Brexit.

I highly recommend the HBO mini-series "Show Me a Hero". It being written by David Simon of The Wire fame was enough for myself and the missus to give this a shot.

I wish they'd named it the Snakehole Lounge.
People might think that it is a gay bar. Imagine the logo.

Check them out! Available in very limited quantities!

If we sell out of this run, we might have them reprinted.

I am assuming that the wings are food, not a Paul McCartney led pop band, so that makes me think that any music performed will be in a background, cabaret way. Entertainment whilst you munch on chicken? I hope that they have given the place a deep clean, I wouldn't associate Cellar as a place with excellent food hygiene standards.
American whiskey/bourbon is cool with me. Hopefully they don't suffer the same fate as the tiki quarter in Aberdeen. I think Tiki Park must have lasted less than 12 months, leaving Krakatoa as our only tiki themed bar. #postbrexitbritain

Halfway through "Stranger Things" on Netflix and it is very enjoyable. An excellent mix of 1980's spookiness and strong characters.

Good enough for Mickey Dolenz:

According to Facebook, it looks like Cellar 35 will be closing/changing.
"Cellar 35 will be closing on the 10th of August and events booked after this date will be cancelled. Sorry for any inconvenience."

Last Podcast on the Left is very entertaining. Histories of serial killers, government cover ups, cults, the occult and much more.

Laika Come Home Music Promotions is delighted to present:
OUTBLINKER: Abrasive, high-octane industrial Krautrock. Clever layering of minimalist repetition a la Carpenter builds suspense into a punishing and cinematic distorted synth suckerpunch. EP "The Remains of Walter Peck" is a critically-acclaimed triumph.
FFO: Fuck Buttons, Blanck Mass, Neu!

CIVIL ELEGIES: Intense and acerbic Glaswegian noise rock trio are about to release their third album in the space of two years (!), and we're pretty damn excited. Crushingly heavy and frenetic post-punk. Do not miss.
FFO: Full Of Hell, Suicide, Blood Brothers

Ghostbusters (2016)
A pretty solid remake, which has a silly story and a good helping of laughs. Chris Hemsworth is very good.
Go see if you want a "brain off" good time for a couple of hours.
Avoid if you are a butt-hurt menanist who is threatened by the slightest form of female empowerment.

Ben Seretan - Bowl of Plums
Really enjoying this fellow at the moment. Masterful guitar playing that is showy, but helps lift his songs. Heartfelt indie rock that reminds me of Avi Buffalo or a mellower Lift to Experience.

Twin River - Passing Shade

Wistful 80's indie inspired pop, puts me in mind of Wild Nothing.

My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
10,000,000 / 10
It is really good, especially with a cup of coffee and a banana fruity bar.

I resent that. I loved Ghostbusters 2 as a kid.
Aye, but I am sure you liked lots of other shite as a kid as well. Ghostbusters 2 is not a good film, unlike the original which is pretty exceptional.

Ghostbusters - Going by the trailer i thought it would be shit but really hoped otherwise. It's good! Solid 7/10
I am keen to see this. It has to be good as I don't want to hear any more shit from menanists bleating on about a ruined franchise. As if Ghostbusters 2 wasn't a piece of shit.
I have seen some shit online where folk on forums were discussing slamming positive reviews for the film by implying that they were paid by Sony. These folk need to get out into the world, make friends, touch a boob/wiggler.

I'm more annoyed at the folk online sniping about it than the people who are talking about enjoying playing it.
