I have to agree with this. What is the point in foundation? It's a meaningless qualification. That probably sounds harsh but it's true. To be honest, standard grades are pretty useless. It's strange that you spend 2 years on standard grades but only 1 year on highers. What I would like to see (and maybe the new system addresses this) are vocational courses for those who are less academic. Constant classroom learning is not for everyone. But I suppose that's more what college is for and apprenticeships.

Cellar 35 is a nice, cosy venue and is probably my favourite in Aberdeen. Quite liked Downstairs when I was in there a couple of weeks ago. Downstairs Malt Mill was where we used to go for underage beers so it will always have a little piece of my heart. Blue Lamp is good if you can get down the front, if not then there's nae chance of seeing what's going on.

Good thread. Lots of good advice in here. For your CV I'd try and have a look at some examples from friends / family to get an idea of layout and content. Some folk put a hobbies / interests bit in, personally I don't like to include that. I'm there for a job nae to sit and talk about golf. Interview tips: dress to impress, strong handshake, plenty of eye contact, smile. Basically be approachable. First impressions count for a lot. Do your research and prepare some questions for your interviewers. Don't lie on your cv or in your interview.

I like the latest one because it reminds me of being a kid during the '94 World Cup. If we were having a kick about we'd always say we were Baggio or Romario or someone like that. I was probably Hadgi or Stoichkov.
