The Tunnels Thursday 13th April 8 from 8pm Jill is best known for being the lead singer in Scottish pop rockers, Speedway. Speedway were signed to Virgin Records with whom they scored 3 top 20 hits including their beefed up cover of Christine Aguilera's Genie In A Bottle, which was a top 5 hit in 2003. Speedway released one album entitled Save Yourself before disbanding in 2004. Since the band split Jill has had no shortage of press attention, not least for her relationship with Fame Academy winner Alex Parks whom she parted company with in December 2005. Jill has been recording her debut solo album in LA and already there is a queue of record labels desperate for her signature. Before she embarks on a full blown solo career Jill has taken time to form a band with the highly talented Gianna Cassidy.

This was a stunning gig! Tasteful, uplifting and had the whole audience silenced - but they could maybe throw a spanner in their folky-works a little and play with their format....
