I am such a fussy bastard when it comes to tone. but, there are a few i like I really like Angus Young's tone. Nice overdriven Marshall. yum! Tom Delonge has a nice guitar sound. Good use of amplifiers. Mesa and Marshall running together, not the best guitarist... but a really really nice sound. this one is pretty gay... but i used to like Mark Tremonti's clean tone. next. Jimmy Page(old and new sound) Strung Out Billy Gibbons Paul.... The guy from the Living End uses two Ibanez Tubescreamers. One with a higher gain level than the other

damn straight, you can get about every marshall sound for the past 30years. i use a Boss SD-1 which has been modded to sound a bit like a TS-808, and i can get a pretty meaty high gain sound... almost rectumfrierish

get this amp dude. I was considering selling mine if i got good money for it. i'd probably cry if i sold it though cos i'd never be able to match its leetness! stay away from TSL's and Rectumfriers. Get a VHT or an ENGL.... or a 30th Anniversary i put in a replacement and its fookin awesome!!!! lovin it

my amps been busted for a while, so last night i decided it was time i found out what the fook was wrong with it. i took off the back cover and low and behold, the root of the problem. one of my power tubes had actually blown. not blown like a lightbulb.... blown as in it was all cracked and by the looks of things, it couldn't take the heat. check this shit

i can't see it being the wembley footie pitch since its midway through development. they'll get busted as tour support and bring in all the kiddies for toilet jokes

thats pretty shitty. and i think most people are right when they say "how do you know SOTY ain't the fighting type?" fair enough, on this occasion, its looks like they did just get the shit kicked out of them for no reason other than being rock. but never judge a book by a cover or a band by "their stance and attitude" they could of just as easily of kicked up fuck if they'd lost their temper dude.

my flatmate has an AVT100. i've been using it lately since my head is still broken(i'm too poor to afford to fix it just now). I used to play with the EQ every night and i thought it sounded ok. but then, curiosity got the better of me. I unplugged the speaker from the amp, and plugged in my Marshall 1922 2x12"(with better quality Celestions) and man.... what a fuckin difference! Its like a whole new amp now. i can get loads of sounds from it. its awesome. if you get the chance, try it
