they are very very very good indeed, they're like some groovy hybrid Frankenstein's monster of a band thats been created from the musical DNA of the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Public Image Limited, Happy Mondays and the KLF, they deserve to go far because they're very talented indeed, they have some cracking songs, they've got their flaws yeah but i think they make up for it with the catchiness of their tunes, they don't take themselves seriously and they ain't trying to be arty-farty, they're just up there doing their music and not being egotistical about it either, i like the fact that they're just being themselves and striving to be an individualistic band and not trying to lump themselves into a particular scene/category, i hope they make an album because i'd like to hear for myself how much musical range they have best wishes, el flosso

i remember reading about some new Guns N Roses album being recorded about five or six years ago in the NME or Melody Maker or something, then next time i heard about it was about four years ago and they had given it a name and called it Chinese Democracy and even had a few track titles as well so i assuming from the way you're talking that this album has still not been released or is still being recorded? its quite amusing to think its taken them that long, Radiohead and Massive Attack usually write about 30 songs on tour then work on them and bring out an album within the space of two years, or in Radiohead's case - two albums in the space of a year almost how long does it take to record some dreadful pisspoor stadium rock anthems anyway?, a decade by the looks of things

i think aberdeen could have a great music scene, in my ten or so years of living here i must admit that there are some very good bands out there if you look around, these messageboards only represent a small part of the music scene and i don't think speaks for it in any specific way but i think there is a great deal of potential here, the main problem i find is that record companies and talent scouts tend to be lazy gits and don't travel very far to see bands because i can think of a few bands through the years who had the potential to push themselves onto bigger and better things so it goes best wishes, el flosso
