Right, finally got round to recording the guitar work for Evac. Just wanted to get folks opinions on my material. No full band recordings, but the day shall come soon hopefully. Our influences include those great bands in the title. Many others as well, but I don't have a scooby about the others. I'm sure Stu and Calum will have a bit more to say on that matter. Kinda not really any help here, but I don't see why you would need to get your guitar set up for heavier strings if it's only going up by .1. As I said, I've got no advice as I've never had a problem with this, and I've even once had a hybrid of 52 - 48 - 42 - 18 - 14 - 11 which is pretty unbalanced tension wise, but it worked somehow.

Theres just no room in the majority of bands for 3 guitarists. Grrr! I'm quite pissed at myself for my lack of ability to diversify, cause this almost sounds right up my street. Well, if there is place for ultra high amounts of bass. Lol, gotta love seventring guitars tuned to A played through a bass amp.

Argh, it's so crippling being a guitarist when cool sounding bands come along. If i some how come accross a bass, I will prob be in contact, although my idea of music differs greatly from most.

Whats this, Vomitus be not this Death metal, but the finest Norweigian Tr00 Kvlt Black Metal! Bonesaw and Hearsecrash (sp?), on the other hand, are death metal. I have a feeling there may be a few new heavy bands coming up soon, but my wee theories have been known to be way off.

Oh dear god no! Still, not as bad as The Darkness' attempt at a cover of Street Spirit. I almost pissed myself laughing at the fact they even tried to add a solo to it. God, how I hate The Darkness. Oh, and deffinately not as bad as Gene Simmons attempt at The Prodigy's Firestarter. The only bit that I could accept from it was the guitar intro thing, which was pretty damn accurate, though perhaps a a semitone or so down compared to the original. Meh
