  1. My mate Manuel made me a paella last year and it was fucking superb. I can't remember what he put it in but I definitely remember mussels, chorizo and red wine going in. He's a chef (kind of), and also Spanish (kind of), a good combination for someone who's making you a paella.

You say Spanish + Chef, I hear greasy + drug addict.

  2. Woman with big breasts needs thermostat fixed.

    Woman calls thermostat repair man.

Repairman comes round. Instead of fixing the existing thermostat or replacing with a new one, they both decide it would be a good idea for him to whip out his penis and destroy her farter. 15 minutes of violent anal intercourse ensues.

Man ejaculates over woman's face and leaves.

Thermostat remains in a state of disrepair, beautifully adding suspense, a lack of resolve and intelligently setting the story up for a sequel.

    Credits roll.

  3. Got shown this guy yesterday, Jason Rouse:

Not the funniest or cleverist but lots of offensive shit if that's your thing:

and the second half is better/more offensive:

  4. I've been looking for an Amp upgrade for as long as i can remember now, looked at JCM2000s but i'm not sure, i need something i can turn the gain tone get a nice crispy warm tone, but also push the gain and get a beefy heavy tone, obviously with changing guitars, but it can still be difficult to find something with the right versatility.

    If you have 500, get a JCM2000 (DSL50), if you have 800 get a Peavey 6505.

6505 can't do cleans that great, but can do rock to full on crushing metal with ease.

  5. That is way too much effort. What is the point of them anyway? There are barcodes on the back of the CD and indexing could be achieved by the side of the CD.

If they were on the outside of the seal then there would be no hassle whatsoever.

They were invented by Gary Apple (inventor owner of iTunes) in a valiant attempt to convince everyone to download the album rather than buy it from the shops and thus having to solve the modern day equivalent of the Rubik's cube that is the dreaded sticker-slash-barcode on the top of a CD.

  6. what does that mean if you play acoustic?

It means you're fag that needs to listen to more METAAALL!!

I jest of course. But to answer your question, the soundhole in an acoustic IS the amplifier, so I guess the guitar and amplifier are one and the same therefore being of equal importance.

  7. I usually very find your posts very amusing and/ or informative and almost always entertaining, but unfortunately on this occasion you are totally wrong.

i'm afraid I'm with the other guys on this. I'd have said in order of importance, good tone comes from:

    1) the fingers

    2) the amp

    3) the guitar

Unless it is a REALLY shitty bordering on unplayable guitar...

But a 150 squire, epiphone, or yamaha through a 2500k rig is gonna sound way better than a 2500 guitar through a 150 amp.

Although I know you have a lot of experience in both playing and working in guitar shops so have probably had more experience than most folk on this subject.

  8. avoid white bread it's ridiculous how unhealthy white bread is....

Generally it's much better to not have white bread, but if you have just done some intensive exercise, white bread is better for you.

After exercise you need to replenish your body's glycogen stores, and white bread is a high GI (Glycemic Index) food, and therefore does helps your body recover quicker than brown/wholemeal

  9. Unless you're putting away a fish supper on a daily basis, baguettes are not healthy eating. Same with pasta and baked potatoes.

If you are doing any form of exercise, baked potatoes (filled with say cottage cheese, tuna or baked beans) and wholemeal pasta are actually very, very good diet additions. The same goes for baguettes - assuming it's not loaded with butter, mayo, bacon, and lots of high-fat cheese.

  10. sandwiches aren't healthy - I went to tesco's to buy a snack dinner, so thought oh sandwich will do, until I checked out a pizza (meatfeast 12" Tesco's own) which was less calories than the fricken sandwich (egg & sausage on white)

diets are easy, drink plenty water, don't eat bad foods and do exercise lol! easier to type than to follow tho when faced with so many good foods

that's unlikely... Are you sure it wasn't less calories for HALF the pizza? A lot of the information on the back is done in suggested portion sizes, rather than the total quantity of calories in the pack.

Saturated fat content is more important to watch out for than calorie content. Foods like peanut butter, nuts, and olive oil have a high calorie and fat content, but all the fats are poly/monounsaturated which actually helps break down the saturated fats in your body.

But yes, a lot of pre-packed sanwiches are pretty unhealthy - especially the ones with heaps of mayo.

  11. Don't actually know the difference between DD and SD. Difficult to tell the difference between my DD P90's and SD ones. Only difference seems to be that you can't actually buy DD pickups.

As far as I'm aware, DD are to SD are what Squire is to Fender. Basically cheaper stock pickups. They only come as sold with slightly cheaper guitars.

I had some DD humbuckers on my Jackson but wasn't a big fan so slammed EMGs in.
