  9. Yes, from 9am on Monday 14th June, DF Concerts and Tennent's Lager will release the final day tickets for the 2004 T in the Park event. This astonishing announcement will give those disappointed fans who were not fast enough to buy the first time round the further opportunity to purchase a ticket for the event on 10th and 11th July 2004. Putting the remainder of the tickets for T on sale at this late stage will help to prevent music fans having to be ripped off by internet ticket touts, attempting to sell T in the Park tickets at inflated prices. The festival organisers remind T fans to only buy from official ticket sources - on Monday this will be through telephone and internet - call 0870 169 0100 or via www.tinthepark.com and will be limited to 2 tickets per person.

  20. Dozens of people have been struck down with a bug after an Aberdeen concert. Around 50 people are thought to have been hit by sickness and diarrhoea after attending the Charlatans gig at the Music Hall on Sunday night. Those affected believe it was caused by an airborne bug. But health chiefs today said it was "too early" to speculate about the cause. Four members of North-east band Driveblind, who supported the main act, were among those struck down. Gary McKay, 25, the brother of Driveblind drummer Dave McKay, began to feel ill after the gig. Gary said: "I was up most of the night being sick and not feeling too good." The hotel manager from Ellon is convinced the illness stemmed from the Music Hall gig. He said: "We have been trying to think what else it could have been, but there is nothing else we did together. I thought it may have been something I had eaten, but everyone else got the same and there was no way it was food poisoning." Another fan, who attended the concert with her boyfriend, has been off work since yesterday with the stomach bug. She said: "I started feeling ill around lunchtime on Tuesday. But by the evening it was worse. "The only things I had to drink were water and Coke. My boyfriend had exactly the same, but he's feeling fine, so that makes me think it was an airborne bug." An NHS Grampian spokeswoman said: "We have had two reports from people who have suffered sickness and diarrhoea." Aberdeen Performing Arts, which runs the Union Street venue, said it was taking advice from environmental health officials. NHS Grampian has set up a helpline for those affected. It is (01224) 523800.
  21. Now playing the Radio 1 stage at Reading and Leeds Friday - The (International) Noise Conspiracy, The Walkmen and The Open Saturday - Stereolab are the special guests Sunday - The Fiery Furnaces, The Futureheads and Eastern Lane A and Sick of it All play the CJ stage
  22. Driveblind were ok i thought but not great. Probably expecting too much as I hadn't seen them since they went to the states. Still probably one the better local bands. Chikinki were rubbish. Imagine a camper and more electronic Cooper Temple Clause then you'll have Chikinki. Anyway he didn't get glassed. It was plastic And as usual The Charlatans were great.
  23. Good luck to Driveblind who support The Charlatans at the Music Hall tonight. Chikinki will be the second support.
